"Ms. Carter, are you familiar with the name Kash, spelled with a K?"
Amia Renee Carter only shook her head. She was lying. She was very familiar with the name Kash with a K. Not only had the knew the man who went by the name Kash, she was sleeping with him.
"What about the name DeMarcus Montgomery?" Once again Amia shook her head. And once again, she was lying. DeMarcus Montgomery was Kash's real name.
"Are you sure Ms. Carter? Because we have sources that say you are very familiar with Mr. Montgomery.
They're lying, Amia. They're just trying to get you to snitch on Kash. She thought. If Amia knew one thing, it was that you ever snitch. What people would do to snitches was way worse than what the cops could do.
"You're sources are wrong. I've never heard that name in my life."
"Ms. Carter, you do realize that there are serious consequences if we find out that you're lying?"
Amia nodded. "I do realize that. And you're not going to find out that I'm lying because I'm being 100% honest with you."
Amia was only digging herself a bigger hole, but at that moment, she didn't care because Kash was her first love and she wasn't going to let him go down for this.
