Second Person~
You walk out the door to find a cat staring up at you.
"Is it hard being a cat? I bet not. It's the people that own you that make it hard," you say while picking it up. I wonder if Shina is coming home, you think as you pet the cat.
"Hey [name]," someone says. You look up from the cat to see Kiba coming out from the woods. You sigh and put the cat down. Kiba is allergic to cats. Kiba walks up to you and hugs you, "What's up? Been a while since I've seen you." You nod and look down at the cat who is sitting patiently beside you.
"Yeah. It's been a while. Also, I've been good. You?" Kiba stares at the cat, "Same. Did you hear about the shadow people?" You look back at him. Shadow people, You wonder.
"What do you mean?"
"Shadow people are people in black. They are the people who take someone's prized possession and lures them in. Only to kill them," Kiba says while looking back at you.
"Did they take something from you," you ask concerned. Kiba smiles and says, "Don't worry about it [name]. I'll be fine." So I guess it's a yes, you think as you hug him.
"You know Kiba, you can tell me anything." He hugs you back and says, "I know [name]. I know." You jerk your head towards the door, "Wanna come in? Shina isn't home yet." Kiba nods and follows you inside. Before you enter the house you turn and call to the cat, "Hey, cat? You coming?" The cat perks up and runs to your side. You hear Kiba chuckle as you open the door.
"Do you want something to eat," you ask Kiba as he enters inside and shuts the door.
"Yeah. Thanks [name]," he says with a smile. You open the fridge and look inside. Shina only bought vegetables. Sadly, Kiba likes to eat meat. I'm sure he can handle some vegetables, you think.
"Hey Kiba?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think you can eat vegetables? Shina's a vegetarian so you understand. Right?" You look at Kiba for an answer and he nods his head.
"Hey [name], I'm gonna go and watch some tv okay?" You answer with a grunt. He walks up to you and asks again. You look at him with a confused look, "Sorry Kiba. I wasn't paying attention." You giggle a bit while Kiba repeats himself a third time.
"You know I hate repeating myself [name]." You giggle, "Yeah. But, it's cute when you get mad." You see a small blush rush across his face.
"I'm just gonna go watch tv now." You giggle and get back to picking out the vegetables he likes. Well, the only vegetable he likes is celery, you think while grabbing the celery.
"[name], can you come here for a sec?" You sigh and walk into the living room. You look around and don't see Kiba.
"Kiba? Where are you," you ask concerned. You feel someone grab you and push you to the ground. You open your eyes and see Kiba hovering over you and laughing.
"Point for me." You laugh and push him off.
"Quit being so adorable," you giggle. Kiba stops laughing and looks at you. You can tell by the way he's looking at you, that he's trying to figure you out. You awkwardly laugh and sit up.
"Well, do you want some celery," you ask. Kiba smiles and says, "Heck yeah." You both walk out to the kitchen. You look at the clock. 4:15. Shina should be home by now, you think as you grab the peanut butter.
"Hey [name]? Can I ask you something," Kiba asks. You look at him and nod.
"Well, I've been wanting to ask you this for a long time," he says while looking at his feet, "And uh, I was wondering if you would like to-" Shina burst through the door before Kiba can finish.
"Sorry I'm late [name]. There was so much traffic," Shina says while hugging you. You look at Kiba with a worried look. Kiba smiles and shakes his head.
"So, did you guys eat," Shina asks while picking up a piece of celery.
"We were about to," you say. Shina nods and says, " Good. Because I want to go out to eat with you two." You smile and say, "Thanks Shina." Kiba nods and smiles.
"Oh. Kiba? I need to talk to you," Shina says excitedly. He nods and walks up to her. You hear Shina whispering to Kiba and see Kiba blushing he whole time. I wonder what they're talking about, you think while looking at them in confusion. Shina turns him towards you and whispers something to him. You see him smile. You lightly smile back. Shina laughs and pushes him towards you. He stops himself before he can fall into you. You flinch a little. He laughs awkwardly. You giggle and smile at him.
"Uh, what I was gonna say before. Is uh, will you go on that thing that couples go on?" You stare at him. Did he just ask me on a date, you think.
"Uh, Kiba? Why the sudden question," you ask. He blushes and looks at Shina for help. You smile and say, "Sure. I'll go on a date with you." Kiba smiles, hugs you, and says, "Thanks [name]. Thank you so much." You giggle and hug him back.
-Time Skip-
You, Shina, and Kiba arrive at the restaurant. Kiba smiles and pulls out a chair for you. You smile back and sit down. He lightly pushes it in and sits next to you. Shina sits across from you two and says, "Awe. You two are adorable." You blush and look at Kiba who is blushing as well.
"Well lets get some food," Shina says while waving her hand to get the waiters attention.
"Long day at work today Shina," you ask as Kiba grabs your hand.
"Oh yeah. Katie came in late and I had to take her place. Then Mario complained to the manager about me not being at my station when he was the one who put me at Katie's station. So it was a long, rough day." You nod your head in agreement. The waiter walks up and asks, "What would you guys like to drink?"
"I would like some water," Shina says.
"Coke for me and [your favorite drink] for my girl here," Kiba says while poking you. You giggle and ask, "How did you know I want [your drink again]?" Kiba laughs and says, "We've been friends for a while now [name]. I know what you like and what you don't like." You blush and smile at him. You notice out of the corner of your eye someone looking at you. You glance behind Kiba and see a kid dressed in black. Is that a shadow person, you wonder.
"[name]? What's wrong," Shina asks with concern. You look at her and smile, "It's nothing. I'm okay." Shina gives you a confused look, but shakes it off. If it is a shadow person, what would they want with me? I don't have a prized possession, you think as you stare at the kid. The waiter snaps you out of your thoughts as he brings you your drinks.
