"Hey, Anne!" Tinapik niya ang kamay nitong nasa mesa. "You okay?"

"H-ha?" Luminga pa ito na parang nagising sa pagtulog.

Lalong kumunot ang noo niya sa iniakto nito.

"You are so weird these days. What's with the blushing habang nakatulala?" She sipped in her shake again. Parang natutuyo ang lalamunan niya sa hindi niya malamang dahilan.

"Hindi, ah!" Anne exclaimed, a little bit louder than what should be. Tinaasan niya ito ng kilay nang tumingin siya rito, only to gape at her face.

"Oh, my God." She said.

"What?"

"Para kang kamatis na tinubuan ng mukha!" She exclaimed.

Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Anne at napahawak sa mukha nito.

"What?! No way!"

She can't stop herself kaya napatawa na siya.

"You should've seen your face, Anne! You reacted hilariously!" She said then laughed again.

She bit her lip to stop herself from laughing because Anne sent her death glares. But she can't stop her shoulders from shaking because of laughter.

"Go on, Chris, laugh while you still can." Anne said as she rolled her eyes before smiling, in an evil way.

Her smiles washed off when she heard what said. Kumunot ang noo niya habang nakakatitig dito.

"What do you mean?"

She did not answered but she pouted at her side. Lumingon siya at halos mahulog ang mga mata niya nang makita si Jake, ang boss niya, looking at her intensely. He was with some old men, must be business associates, just one table away from the table on their left.

Napabalik kaagad ang tingin niya sa best friend niya.

"What the he―?"

"Destiny, dear, destiny." She said and even before she could think of a appropriate throwback attack, tumayo na si Anne sa kinauupuan nito.

Where's she going?

"Where―?"

"I'll see you soon, too. Bye, Anne!" She kissed her cheek and stood straight. She smiled, "Mr. Evans," she waved, kasabay ng paglingon ni Christal.

She didn't even noticed that Anne was long gone. Nanatili lang siyang nakatingin kay Jake, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

"I look hot, I know."

"Wha--How--Uhh--" kumunot ang noo niya sa sentence na hindi mabuo. Itinikom niya ang bibig niya kasabay ng paghinga ng malalim. Tinitigan niya ang dessert niya, thinking about nothing.

She heard her boss chuckled. She raised her gaze at him. Tinaasan niya ito ng kilay.

"You look pretty." She felt her cheeks burned. Nag-iwas siya ng tingin and lowered her head.

Just what the hell does she feel?

She was startled when Jake put his arms on the back of the chair she was sitting on, trapping her. Napatingala siya rito. His intense gazes burning into her.

"What-?"

He suddenly lowered his head and claimed her lips. She closed her eyes immediately and returned his kisses. It was just like he was pressing his lips on her, he wasn't doing anything at all. Naiinip na siya and she was about to put her arms around his neck when he pulled away. She opened her eyes, questioning.

He grinned, "Where in a public place, Christal." she raised her eyebrow which made him chuckled. He leaned in and whispered on her ear. "I knew that you want me, too. I'll just wait for the time that you admit it."

She gaped at him. Is he nuts?

He chuckled, "Don't deny it." he lightly pinched her chin. "Later, after office hours." he said before leaning down and kissing the side of her lip making her blink twice. He stood up and walked out of the restaurant.

Christal was left there, dumbfounded. What the hell just happened?

And what after hours was he talking about?!

"I'll see you again tomorrow after office hours."
"I'll come see you tomorrow after office, o'rayt?"

Her eyes grew wide in realization. Hindi pa nga pala siya nakakapagdesisyon kung sinong hihindian niya. ARGH! What the hell is happening with her life?!
