Prologue:

You were outside your school, eating your favorite food at one of the snack bars outside. It was way past your dismissal time and the clouds were streaked a vibrant red orange color as the sun sets blissfully at the other side of the world.
Just as you were about to take another bite from the food you were eating, the ground suddenly shook violently, throwing you off balance. You were lucky enough, just before you were about to get flattened by a food cart, a gal just about your age ran in panic and terror got bumped by the cart.
Sure enough, you checked if she was dead. Gratefully, her pulse was still beating. You grabbed the girl and set her somewhere in an open field.
The earth stood still for a few minutes, but to no avail, another quake hit the place. It was far stronger and violent than the other one. You glanced at the girl you saved earlier, unfortunately, she is nowhere to be found.
Wild thoughts spun around your head. Making assumptions such as, the girl being a ghost and other weird paranormal phenomena. You stood up and ran continuously, terrified from what you did and on what the you think the girl was.
Once more, the shaking ground threw you off balance, but this time, luck didn't seem to side with you. The tree beside you got uprooted, crushing your body under it's tremendous weight...

You woke up somewhere around a ground levelled surface.
You stood up and scanned the area around you. You saw some extremely tall buildings and a large sinkhole right in the middle of the area.
You ran about the area, scanning for some survivors, and sure enough, you saw one. It was the girl who crashed with a food cart earlier. She was staring blankly outside the window of her room, silently thinking.
You tried shouting at her for you to be recognized, but sadly, she caught not even a speck of your voice. Then, you found a crevice on a fence and decided to go underneath it. Luckily, the house she lived in has a back door.
You went inside without any notice. You leaped across a table that served as a barricade for anyone who would wish to enter. After a few minutes of exploring, you eventually end up in their living room.
You noticed the stairs leading to the second floor. But as you approached it, you notice the picture if the girl earlier. She was around your age, quite cute, pretty, but nonetheless, you still feel frightened of her.
You slowly ventured upstairs and you opened the door to her room.
??? P.O.V
I gazed upon the guy who was walking around and hoped that he'd see me. The truth is, I really liked him since the days that I was still living.
I know you may be asking, "Is that place heaven", and seriously, I don't know myself. All I know is that souls with missions do end up in this place that they call, Nowhere town.
I died a week ago from an unexpected hold-up. You may think that's all they did to me, but no! They did not stop there. They decided to kill me and use my body for their 'needs'. Sometimes, I still dream about those events during my daydreams or during my sleep.
But all that changed one day. I saw a guy with an unusual vibe among the rest. He spent most of his time alone, He always tries to avoid people, He constantly gets picked on by people. But these were not the traits I saw. Out of all the things I've said, what I like most about his is his undying determination and perseverance in life. I also liked on how straightforward he is and how blunt he can tell someone about his/her mistakes.
All these time, I was secretly stalking you. I saw how every single bit of your personality was bashed by the people around you. But then, I was amazed of resilience, on how you handle the peers of other people.
Since then, I no longer had any thought of the incidents regarding my death. All that I remember was I wanted to see you more and more each day that passed. I suddenly had this uncontrollable beating of my heart whenever I thought about you.
But tragedy struck the face of the earth. I was watching over you during the quake. I was the one who shielded you from the cart. The truth is, I shielded you for two reasons, first, I wanted to protect you always, second, I wanted to test your true kindness towards others. Good thing that you were not only unique from the others, you were even kinder than them.
I left you after the quake but after a few moments or so, I saw you walking outside my house. In reality, I can hear everything you were saying outside. But, I acted as if I haven't heard you. I left our backdoor open for you to enter.
I heard steps downstairs. Without warning, the sensation occured again. But this time, I got more fidgety and panicky than ever. What if you leave me alone. What if you knew the cool girl that lives around here. I withdrew to the solace of the windows and calmed myself.
Just then, I heard a creaking sound from my door, and there you were. You were wearing an all black ensemble. You looked at me intently and said
"Hi there! Thanks for what you did earlier"
You smiled at me. Heat began to course around my body as I felt my cheeks grow warmer. I turned around and faced intently towards the window trying to think of a good reply.
"Hey, what's bothering you?"
"Ah, nothing. I was just recalling the catastrophic events earlier"
"Ah.. I see. I may not know who you are, but there is only one thing I can guarantee you. I will always be here to assist you in whatever you need to do. So if you ever need a sounding board, just talk to me."
Your words tore through me like a spear. Suddenly, I felt my heart beat like the drums in the game Patapon. But even your reassurance did not keep me from the sadness and pain that had been stuck with me.
"Sorry... for.. For Everything!"
I said the words before bursting into tears
"This place is infinite, I've always been alone here, unloved, uncherished, and forgotten. Even by my parents. I always thought that someday, I will be able to escape from the misery I'm feeling but no! I tried moving out of this place, slowly but surely, I discovered that you can leave the place for a few 10-11 hours per day. That's when I knew you. I think knowing you even more would help me but look at what I've done! I wished that you would be here, I wished that I can see you here always, to be with you! And now, were both stuck in this hell of a place."
I cried continuously as my tears and voice tried to block you away. I felt so much guilt, anguish, and pain that filled my heart. I heard you step closer while slowly wrapping your arms around me, saying
"I don't know your name or anything about you, but when you blocked the cart for me.. I felt..different. I learned that the most important things in life are the memories you can never change. You taught me that. You gave me a shining bit of faith, to once again learn to trust in humanity, even to others. As I went up the staircase and saw your photo. I thought that you may not want to see me. That's why I cannot get up easily. You know, it may be the first time I saw you, but I'll make a commitment with you. I won't let you get hurt and together, we will get out to the real world and live again as normal people, and hopefully fall in love. Because I love you and that's all I can say." He said as he cradled me in his arms.
"I know this kind of breaks the situation but I still don't know your name." I said, slightly blushing at the sudden turn of events.
He chuckled a bit. He said,"My name's EM58, now if you will allow, I would like to learn your's"
I blushed a deep shade of red. I never knew that he's cuter when chuckling. I laughed a bit and told him, "I'm Camry, nice meeting you my dear soul mate."
He smile and held my hand while saying, "Let's go Camry, Infinite is a long way to go, so let's move out of here. Just remember, someday, let's both fall in love in the real world." He dragged me down the alley as me and my boyfriend head out for the real world.

AN: This story was made by 13 year old me. I think it's the first time I even thought of romance in something, but I hope it's all good. I am keeping it for legacy's sake.
