Before I begin the story I like to thank my friends for always being there for me, and know that we will always have each other's backs forever. This is the first story I have ever written so don't judge on mistakes. Enjoy!
Hi, my name is Abby. It has now been about 15 years since the, well, the news story. I've always thought the news was just a job that people get paid for. No real meaning, just a job. I will never think of the news the same way ever again. Here's my story...
As a teenager, I always would obsess over my phone. The latest text, Instagram picture, and to make sure everything was "on fleek". My mom got pretty upset the more I obsessed over my phone. That morning, she made me put down my phone and watch a news story. Of course at that age, I didn't care about some dumb story. I thought the news was what old people watch because they have nothing else to do or watch. But I knew I had to listen to her or else that would be the end of my phone for a week. I threw my phone on the couch upset at my mom and plopped on the couch to watch this stupid story. Here's the report...
" This is Dylan Alfalzi from channel 2 news. I am reporting live from in front of the house of the fatal party. It is known that five teenagers were at this house behind me, late last night partying, and drinking a strange punch. Apparently, the teens were not aware that the punch was contaminated with alcohol. One of the drunk teens then went behind the wheel and as about to arrive at the first friends house to drop them off. When the teen came across a red light, he drove right through it resulting in a fatal eighteen wheeler car crash. We are still gathering information about this tragic event as the story unfolds. Once again this is Dylan Alfalzi reporting live on the scene, back to you Nick"
I thought this story was actually pretty funny. How do you not know you were drinking alcohol. That's just dumb.
I might have said that out loud because my mom slapped me. She said "stopped laughing Abby! What if this happened to you and your friends! How would you feel?"
" I would feel fine because my friends and I might be a little more responsible than that ma." I replied sarcastically
" yeahhhh, maybe not"
" hey!"
" I know how you and your friends get when your wild."
" ok, maybe, but that has nothing to do with this"
" umm, yes it does Abby, and I'm not going to fight with you, go to your room!"
"Fine"
As I left, I scooped up my phone so my mom didn't see and left the living room. I ran up the stairs and slammed my door. My mom was the last person on my mind right now.
I will never forget Dylan Alfalzi , I will never forget my mom who made me watch that broadcast, I will never forget the news story.
