I didn't know..........
I didn't know I would fail. I should of tried harder, I should of tried less.
I was suppose to be victorious. But I became a disappointment. I disappointed the team. I disappointed the school. I disappointed myself.
Let, me start from the beginning..........
JANUARY 12TH(1 MONTH AGO)
Hi my name is Paige. I'm a freshman in Highschool and it is now the start of the 2nd quarter. Basketball season. Now, I've made a reputation at East Wing High. Just not the one of a basketball player. When you walk into the magnificent trophy room, which really is kinda cocky for our school to install, but anyways, you see sports on the left side, clubs on the right side, and champions at the end, right in the center. And smack down in the center is the biggest trophy, dedicated to me, the mathlete champion.
Yep, that's right, I'm a nerd. I'm not like a geek nerd though, I don't wear glasses no suspenders, I wear sweats and tee-shirts and athletic clothes. It's like stereotypesf lock us in and you can't get out. But why can't a mathlete be a basketball player. My best friend, Kathy told me this, "Stereotypes will stick once you get 'em." You might as call me Paige in a cage, the nerd cage. Why can't I do both? Well you guessed wrong, I can. And I will. Tomorrow are girls basketball tryouts, and I will walk in and blow blow everyone away, or so I thought.......
Authors note: Hi, thanks for reading! Sorry the first chapter is really short and slow but it gets better and longer
