The Arizona neighborhood was quite, no one was making a peep because it was 9:00 pm, that was until a ruckus was heard from the Martinilini household..

"I'm not allowing you to stay here anymore Joseph!" Misty sneered as she stood at the front door in a protective stance glaring at Joseph with her bright green eyes. "Your stuff is packed and your mother is on her way to get your stuff."

"Why can't we just work this out?" He begged, "It was an accident."

"Accident my ass, you can't just accidentally stick your d*** in someone else besides the mother of your children!" Misty screams with tears running down her cheeks. "I hate you." She slams the door and slides down it crying to herself about how she let this jerk ruin her life.

Multiple hours and smudges of makeup later she drags herself off the floor and notices that she needs to go get her children, Divinity and Joseph, from day care. The rest of the day goes on normally except for the asking of where "daddy" is every hour or so by Divinity.

Divinity was three at the time, a perky child with brown curly hair that bounces around when she laughs and dimples that showed when she laughed. Her eyes were so bright and blue that everyone was just attracted to her because of her eyes.

Joseph, he was only one but he was already a mamas boy and tended to only enjoy time with his mom. He had brown hair that was never allowed to go past 1 inch long, and his eyes were also blue but more of a dull blue that looked clouded.

As the years went on, Joseph and Divinity grew up and only visited their dad often whenever his wife was not being rude to them just for existing. Divinity became a grandpa's girl where as Joseph stayed a mama's boy.

14 years later and Divinity decides she no longer wants to live there with Misty. They have fought so much and no matter what, Divinity is never enough for Misty. She joined the IB program, tried to do sports, and when she could cleaned a bit at the house. That was never enough to her. Misty always would look down on her, while holding her son on a pedestal that Divinity would never be able to reach.

Shortly after she has glass thrown at the ground by her feet for not doing the dishes; she decides she has had enough and is ready for a new life in California with her grandfather.
