The Hidden Life Of A Clone ARC

The Clone

                           Introduction
Clone Trooper Rybak had been serving with the 501st for only a couple of days and drawn the attention of the Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and his padawan Ahsoka Tano. But as hard as Rybak tried to hid his secret from the Jedi officers having force sensitivity as strong as he had was impossible to hide from any Jedi Knight even from a padawan.

                              Prologue
Anakin Skywalker was standing in the war compartment of the lead AT-TE along with Ahsoka and his right hand clone trooper Captain Rex.

"General Skywalker we've sent several scouts out and we've found no trace of the Separatists outpost." Rex said with remorse

"Its here Rex I know it is Master Yoda specifically gave these cooridnants of the outpost." Anakin replied frustratedly

"Master what about ARC Commander Rybak?" Ahsoka asked quizzically

"What about him?"

"We sent him out to scaout ahead four hours before we even set out on the mission for scouting enemy activity and we havent heard anything from him since. I'm getting really worried."

"Rex didn't Rybak take a BARC-speeder?" Anakin turned to Rex

"Yes sir I do believe that he did." Rex scratched his chin

"Then can't we track his position with the speeder's transponder?"

"We can try sir but I don't think that we'll get a good signal due to the vegetation it will make tracking the signal extremely difficult." Rex pointed to one of the screens
Anakin looked at the increasingly worried expression on Ahsoka's face.

"Rex I need to talk to you in private for a minute." Anakin gestured to the next compartment with a nod of his head

"Of course sir." Rex picked up his helmet and followed

The two went two compartments over and stopped. Anakin turned to Rex and let his true facial expression show on his face.

"Something wrong General Skywalker?" Rex asked removing his helmet

"Yes and it's been bothering for the last six hours." Anakin admitted

"What is it sir?"

"It's Ahsoka, she's extremely worried about Rybak."

"We all are sir." Rex said reasuringly

"I know but her worry isn't like our worry.......it's more"

"More....sir?" Rex asked confused

"I believe that she is hiding an affection for Commander Rybak." Anakin replied

"But sir isn't that against the Jedi code?"

"Yes it is Rex that's what's worrying me."

"Are you going to say something to Commander Tano sir?"

"No I won't say anything."

"You won't?"

"Yes, I won't and neither will you. Because I know what she is going through and I'm not going to take that away from her Rex. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I did."

"I understand sir I'll make sure that we find Commander Rybak personally General Skywalker." Rex saluted stiffly

"Thank you Rex" Anakin put a hand on Rex's shoulder

Ahsoka ran into the compartment breathing heavily with tears rolling down her face.

"Snips, whats wrong?" Anakin asked quickly

"Master come quickly we found Rybak's BARC-speeder signal."
