Heartless ( A Supernatural Fanfiction)

The Begining

Scout woke up with the same jolt she has every morning. She looked at the cheap alarm clock and in red letters it said it was 3 in the morning. She wiped the sweat from her head and padded to the bathroom. She hopped in the shower and washed away the nightmare. She hopped out and blow dried her hair. She let her dyed hair wavy and down. She walked to her suitcase and changed into a pair of daisy dukes, a Johnny Cash T shirt, a green flannel, and her square toe boots. She packed up her belongings and threw them in her lock box of her truck. She turned in her keys and walked outside. She stood in awe of her truck, it never got old. A 1968 jacked up Suburban Chevy. She hopped inside and pulled away. Just 50 miles till Sioux Falls.
  She pulled into the long dirt driveway and pulled up to the old house. She jumped out and walked up the steps. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door. She smiles when the old man opened the door. He smiled and said," Well look what the cat dragged in! Get in here, girl!" He pulled her in and brought her inside. He walked inside the kitchen with Scout behind him. She heard two male voices when they walked to the kitchen. Bobby smiled and said," Boys, I want you meet Scout Churchill. My Goddaughter." She waved and said," Howdy. Y'all are?" They both stood up and the tall one said," I'm Sam Winchester." He shook her hand as the shorter one said," I'm Dean, Sam's brother." She shook his hand and said," Nice meet y'all." Bobby handed Scout a bottled water and said," Last time I saw ya' you had blonde hair. What happened?" Scout chuckled and said," Had a few warrants, so changed a few things. Got some glasses and dyed my hair." Bobby rolled his eyes and said," Still see you driving Ol' Duke." She shrugged and said," It's my baby, what can I say?" Bobby laughed and said," Anyways, were about to go on a hunt. You come with?" She shrugged and said," Sure. What we got?" Sam cleared his throat and said," A Wendigo a few states over." She shook her head and said," Sorry that's all y'all." Bobby frowned and said," You need to get over it, Scout." She scowled at Bobby and said," I'll get over it when I'm dead and gone. I'll come see you in a couple months." She put her water down and fast walked to the truck. She hopped inside and lit a cigarette. She took in long drag and blew it out. She started the truck and pulled away. She drove till She saw the falls. She stopped and hopped out. She started on her 2nd cigarette when a black 1967 Chevy Impala pulled up beside her. Dean hopped out and walked over to her. She rolled her eyes as he said," Hey what was that?!" She shrugged and said," Don't ask question you don't want answers to." He sighed and said," He's been waiting to see you. He loves you, as his own kid. Just cause you can't get over yourself don't bring Bobby into it." She blew out a puff of smoke and said," You don't know anything. Bobby saved me! I'm walking away cause I don't want to drag him down in the mud. Now how about you hop into your mid-life crisis of a car and leave me be with my smokes." He scoffed and said," Alright. Just do me a favor and call him more often." She nodded and said," Alright. Just keep him safe, will ya?" He nodded as he walked over to me he handed me a wrapped box. I took it as he said," Bobby says happy belated birthday." She looked at the box and tears streamed down her face. She dropped her cigarette ran to her truck. She drove away leaving Dean in the dust. She pulled in front of the old house and ran inside, box still in hand. Bobby sat in study reading over a book. She walked in and the old man stood up. She ran over to him engulfing him in a hug, unable to hold her sobs anymore. He stroked her hair and said," Oh baby girl. It's alright." She shook her head and said," No it's not. I'm sorry I pushed away." He smiled and said," You're grieving. It's ok. Did you open it?" She shook her head and be handed her the wrapped box. She tore off the newspaper wrap and opened the box. It was her favorite book Carrie by Stephen King, a silver cross necklace, and a old flask. Bobby smiled and said," The necklace was my wife's. The flask was mine when I was your age. I might not be your real dad but my little girl, just remember that." She smiled and said," Your best dad a girl could ask for. I'm sorry. I can't let go just yet. But I'll go with you guys." He shook his head and said," I need someone to run the the phones, stay here. I got food, some sprite, and a tv." She smiled and said," Yes sir."
  Bobby, Sam, and Dean left not long after that. Scout walked into the kitchen and grabbed the a Kraft macaroni and cheese from the cabinet. She set the water to boil and the phone rang. She walked over to the phone and it was the phone with a pine tree on it. I answered and said," Hello?" A deep voice answered," Hello this is Ranger Smith from Pipestem State Park. Is this Captain Katherine Barnes?" Scout cleared her throat and said," Yes. Is there reason to this conversation because I have actual work to do." Ranger Smith cleared his throat and said," I have three of your agents here wanting to close down my park because of two bear attacks, I have a bear trapper taking care of the problem." I scoffed and said," Well Ranger Smith, tell me has this bear trapper of yours got anything yet? Don't answer because I know the answer. Now your gonna get off the phone with me, call off your trapper, close down the park, and listen to my agents. Are we clear?" Ranger Smith sighed and said," Crystal. Good day ma'am." She hung up the phone and smirked at the handiwork she did.
  She was sitting in the living room cleaning her desert eagle when her phone rang. She picked it up and said," Hello?" Sam was out breath and said," Scout, it's Sam. You need get here now!" She looked at the clock it was midnight. She sighed and said," Why? It's 12 in the morning." Sam answered," Bobby and Dean got hurt. We're on way to St. Vincent's hospital. Please just get here." She hung up and grabbed her keys. She ran to the truck  and hopped inside. She pulled out and drove. She had to be there.
  She ran inside the hospital to the front desk. The woman looked at her and said," Check in is over there." Scout shook her head and said," My godfather was brought in with someone else I know. Bobby Singer and Dean Winchester." The lady typed and said," Yep their expecting you Mrs. Winchester. You are Scout right? Dean's wife?" Scout  nodded and said," Yeah, I'm sorry. We're newlyweds, still getting used to it. What room is it?" The woman nodded and said," 322. Good luck, honey." She nodded and walked down the hallway. She looked down at her appearance and realized how terrible she looked. She was wearing plaid pajama pants, a Willie Nelson T shirt, her cowboy boots, and her hair in a bun. She found the room and knocked as She slowly walked in. She saw Sam on the couch asleep and Dean with his arm in a cast and stitches on his forehead. As She turned the corner, she saw Bobby. He was hooked to a ventilator and a fluid drip. She gasped and Dean's head popped up. Dean walked over to me as tears streamed down her face. He engulfed her in a hug and said," It's ok. Shhh it's ok Scout. He's tougher than the three of us." She nodded and said," I just can't lose him. Not like this, not like them." He nodded and said," Why don't you sit down." He brought her over to a chair by his by the bed. Scout smiled and said," So Mrs. Winchester, huh?" He shrugged and said," Only way they'd let you in. And I also told them your expecting. So yeah, expect some questions?" Scout nodded and said," Ok. Who's his doctor." Dean rubbed his shoulder and said," Doctor Sebastian Cook." She sat up and said," Is like 6'3, brown hair, green eyes, probably a girly looking tie." He nodded and said," Yes, how did you know?" Scout shrugged and said," He's my ex husband." Dean shook his head and said," What happened there?" Scout nodded and said," I have no idea. Just woke up and left. Later on I found out that him and his husband got married last year. I haven't seen him in a while. The door and right in time Sebastian walked in. He looked at Scout and said," Your Scout Winchester?" She nodded and he continued and said," I thought it was a coincidence. I heard you were expecting." She nodded as he walked over to take Bobby's vitals. He cleared his throat and said," How far along are you?" She grabbed Dean's hand and said," 5 weeks." Dean knew it was a act but he liked her touch.
  Sebastian wrote on his chart and said," Scout may I speak with you outside?" She nodded and followed him outside. He shut the door and said," Scout I never did explain. I loved you, I did but not as wife. But I met your friend Daniel-" Scout cut him off and said," No, stop. I've moved on Sebastian." He nodded and said," How long have you and Dean been married?" She smirked and said," 5 weeks. When we found out, we'd thought it'd be proper." She said going on with the huge lie. He nodded and said," That's good. Me and Daniel have a daughter. We named her Paula Lee, after  his grandmother. Nothing is better than loving and caring for them." She nodded and said," I'm going to sit with Dean, Sam, and Bobby." She walked inside and sat back down. Dean looked over to hands, to see her wrists. He saw a scar that ran from the base of her wrist to half way up her forearm. He gently brushed with his fingers and said," How did this happen?" She bit her lip and said," My own stupid attempt to leave this nightmare most people call life."
