Samantha's POV
It's Friday night! I'm in my room getting ready for a party while my mom is getting ready to go out on a date. She's hired a baby sitter for my brother since I always go out.
It's about 6 and I hear the door bell ring. Ugh great new babysitter.
"Sam!" My mom yells from downstairs. "Come say hi!"
"Be right down!" I call back. I finish up my makeup and head down stairs.
"Oh and this is my oldest daughter" my mom says as I'm walking tmdown the stairs. The Babysitter turns around. He's kinda cute but he looks familiar. "Hi, I'm Jack." He says . "Hi"
Jack. I know that name. And that green hair. "Your in my homeroom class huh?" Jack asks. I nod and walk to the kitchen.
"Sam are you really going out tonight?" My mom follows. "Yes I already talked to you about this." She sighs. "Okay just don't be home late. And no drinking!" "Yeah yeah"
A little later my mom leaves. She's going out with her boyfriend again. Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy but he tries to hard to be my friend. Worst of all he tries to be my dad. Not happening.
I'm in the living room waiting for my ride to pick me up when Jack comes in and sits across from me.
"Where's my brother?" I ask looking down at my phone. "Eating. Finally got him to settle down to eat. I don't remember being that hyper at 6." He chuckles to himself. "Where you heading tonight." "Out. With friends" I answer still not looking up from my phone. "You're going to that party that everyone is talking about huh?" "Maybe" "I don't think you should go." I look up from my phone and put it to the side. "Don't tell me what I should do. You're not my dad" "I know. But your too young to be parting with seniors." "Too young? How old do you think I am???"
"15? 16? Your only a freshman right" "uh no." "How old are you then?"
Before I could answer I car honks outside. "My rides here." I get up and start heading torwards the door. "Sam" I turn around. "Just ... Be careful okay?" I smile at him. "17. I'm 17 and a senior." And with that I walk out the door.
