Mario!Mini Ladd X Reader: Stolen Coins

*A/N* This is a request!

"I'm sorry. Your princess is in another castle," Toad's scratchy voice informed Craig. His eye visibly twitched as his concerned friend, clad in green, Evan, looked at him concerned. "She might be in the poison swamp area."

"Uh... Craig... You alright?" Evan asked. Craig looked at Evan with anger,

"No! No, I'm not alright! Fucking stupid Princess Peach is always in another damn castle! This is like the 8th goddamn castle we've explored and I died like 5 times! Even if we did rescue her, she would just bake me a cake and nothing else!" Craig ranted. "I'm done with this shit!"

"Craig, Princess Peach is the leader of the mushroom kingdom. The whole kingdom will fall to anarchy if we don't save her," Evan reminded Craig.

"Does it look like I fucking care?" Craig answered blankly. Evan sighed.

"Just one more castle, and then we can give up," Evan tried to compromise. Craig sighed reluctantly.

"Fine. Whatever," Craig agreed, and both began to walk out of the castle. They both began to walk the road to the next map, which was the poison swamp. "My god, why the hell would Bowser take princess Peach here?"

Evan shrugged, and said, "That's what the tip said."

Both began to run, hitting coin blocks as they went, until Craig found a green pipe. "Come on, Evan! If we can't find the princess maybe we can get rich!"

Evan smiled slightly as Craig's bad mode went away, and followed him down the green pipe. They both stared at the massive coin chamber literally just a few feet away from them.

"Mamma Mia," Craig breathed out, as Evan nodded in agreement to what Craig breathed out. "I'm filthy rich!!!!"

Craig ran to collect the first row of coins, however, another figure seemed to beat him to the punch, as the figure jumped on his head, making him stop mid-jump and land on his head, while the figure collected the row of coins, as well as the rest. 

"Heh. Thanks for the coins, bro!" The figure thanked as s/he landed on his/her own two feet. Craig looked up at the figure angrily as he tried to adjust his glasses, while Evan just gaped at the figure. He/She was wearing a black garb with the same colored tights with a red scarf to boot. 

"Hey! Give those coins back!" Craig yelled as he hastily stood up, while the figure began to run towards the exit pipe. She/He merely turned his/her head around, while sticking out his/her tounge. Craig let out a frustrated yell, and began to chase after the figure.

"Craig, wait!" Evan yelled, but sighed seeing as how his friend wouldn't listen to him, he began to run after him. Craig began to freaking speed run across the map to go after that figure. Jumping on goombas and koopas like nothing, while ignoring all the power-ups and coins.

"They're just coins, dude. Just chill," The figure yelled, running ahead and up until the flag post. Once the figure touches the flag pole, it was game over for Craig. They were at the top of the stairs, looking down at the panting Craig. They tossed the stolen coins to Craig, who looked up at the figure in surprise. "(Y/N) (L/N). You better remember it, cutie."

Craig brushed slightly at the nickname, and took the coins. "Thanks... I'm Craig."

Before the figure the walked jumped to the flag pole, they turned their head, and stated, "Good luck finding Peach."

Craig blinked. Oh yeah. Princess Peach. (Y/N) could see him slightly fume at the name. "Ugh. Thanks. I need it."

"Maybe if you find me again, we could do something more than baking a cake," (Y/N) suggested, making the British plumber slightly blush at the notion. "Not like that, you perv, but a date."

"I'll take you up on your offer," Craig responded, as the figure escaped. Evan ran up once the whole ordeal was over.

"Did you," He panted, "get the coins?"

"Yep," Craig answered, and opened the bag... Only to find a bag of rocks... "(YYYY/NNNNNN)!!!!!!!"

*Extended Ending*

(Y/N) smirked at Craig screaming their names to the heavens. He was definitely going to find them eventually.
