The Bird Who Came Into My Life

A blonde-brown haired girl sat in her living room gnawing on a pencil trying to get her geography homework done. It was boring the hell out of her and she was so bored that she was doodling on it which she was strictly told not to do.Her eyes wondered around the room finally landing onto a pair of binoculars.

"Why the hell not! Fuck this I'm going bird watching!" She said slamming down her pencil and making her way towards her binoculars.

Picking them up she went and picked up her house key and coat as well, before going outside and locking the door. She hastily made her way up the village and down the river where the swan swam and the gulls screeched.

The girl finally made her way to the wooden bird hide and started to scan the lake for anything interesting.

"Cormorant,tufted duck,shoveler,lapwing,coot,moorhen....oooo a great crested grebe and a peregrine falcon!,"she silently recited what she saw.

She started to walk over to the other side of the hide where the trees were located to look quickly before going to watch the peregrine some more.

"Great tit, robin,sparrow,blackbird,blue tit,dunnock......wait that blue tit's staring straight at me and it is bigger than a normal one!"

The blue tit started to fly to the hide and flew and landed on the wooden ledge of the hide.The girl just stared at the blue tit astounded at how close it was to her.

"Hi!"said the bird in a girl's voice.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" screamed the girl falling backwards off the bench in shock,"A-a BIRD just spoke to me. A BIRD"

The blue tit flew down and landed on her face.

"Yeah,I did. Have a problem with that?"

"N-no but blue tits don't just speak,"she stated still lying on the floor.From this view she could also see the difference in her eyes looking more human than bird.

"Want a hand?.....Uhhhh wing? I guess" The bird stated offering her wing to help her up.

"No. I'm fine," she said hauling herself up onto the bench,"Who are you?And how can you speak?"

"The names Twitch! At least that's what i've been calling myself since I gained this form,"It began."I am a person like you from the afterlife and I am here to be your companion! I am annoying and helpful! And your name is?"

"Millie"

"I think this is a start a new adventure!" Twitch tweeted before flying out off the door.

"Ohhhhh shit.I'm now stuck with an annoying bird for the rest of my life. My friends our going to think i'm crazy,"Millie sighed
