(HOSHIS POV)
I had always wanted to live in the mountains. Just never in this cold weathers. And alone.
Ever since my lover and fiancé Y/N left me, I have liked I be alone. My friend Minghao sometimes came around.
I couldn't shake what happened to Y/N. I couldn't get it out of my head. It's been three years and I still think about it everyday. Sometimes... I still cry. I miss her.
I walked past that building she worked in everyday and the one day I'm not there to drop her off at work. The one day out of all of them.
The building had to catch fire on that day didn't it? It had to leave 11 survivors didn't it.
People told me that there was still hope because a person that survived said they saw a young woman run out the backdoor.
But if that was Y/N why wouldn't she have come to me. She wouldn't have just ran away like that. At least without a reason. Because of losing her in such a way. I feel that it's my fault. I blame myself everyday for her death it's my fault. It's my fault. I'll keep telling myself that to the day I die.
I'm not depressed. Just self-distorting. I cannot live with myself for causing her death.
I shoot my thoughts away and walked acrossed the ice bridge to my small house in the mountains.
I looked in my mailbox and pulled out a letter that was pink and wrapped in bows with glitter. I rolled my eyes. I ripped it open and found a single piece of paper folded up inside it. I unfolded the letter and it said in large text: "will you ever love again?" I looked at the paper and felt tears well in y eyes as the pain of loseing Y/N struck me again.
"No. Never again." I angrily looked at
the ice-covered lake and whipped away my tears.
I went inside and went to sleep.
I got up with a start at 3:00am and walked onto my porch when I noticed a black spot in the ice. I shrugged my shoulders and figure I had nothing better to do with my life. I grabbed my jacket, a shovel and gloves and boots and started hitting the ice out there.
Soon I realized. It was hair. I felt the little hole I had made and felt a human head. I gasped and started a fire. Then I put my shovel over the fire, the using the hot shovel, I started Melton the ice Around her.
I had the entire upper half of her out of the ice and looked at her face "Y/N..." I quickly pulls her up and her limp body came free from the ice. She remained as the morning a saw her leaving for work three years ago. Even the same clothing.
Her body was ice cold and I hugged her close. "I thought I'd never see you again." I felt hot tears stream down my cheeks and then I thought to check for a heart beat.
Thump...thump...thump...
Happiness took over my body as I forgot everything I had outside and ran inside. I put a fire on in the living room and got heating pads on and turned them on. I switched up the heat I warm her faster and put a blanket over her.
She laid lifeless on the couch. I checked her heart beat every five minutes and would occasionally prick myself in the finger with a needle to see if this was real life. If she really came back to me.
The fire cracked as I thought about what I should do. "Would she still have all her memories? Does she even know who I am?"
And then everything stopped for a second. "How is this even possible?" I sighed and contined to drink my tea and wait for something to happen, which I thought I never would until I heard her voice.
"Hoshi?..."
