I finally finished the last Charles dickens book after hours of reading.
Ungluing my crystal blue eyes from the captivating words, I glanced at my clock. Seven twenty four it read.
I woke up at three eighteen a.m. and
couldn't go back to sleep. So I put my earphones in, listened to Lana del Rey's album ultraviolence, and finished reading the book.
As I walked to the shower in the apartment I shared with pasley, who attends Harvard too, my phone rang.
West cost by Lana del Rey, my favorite singer, was my ringtone.
I danced over to my iPhone six to reveal who was calling me. I scrutinized the screen reading out loud to whom the summons belonged to.
" Harvard," I quietly announced.
Tapping speaker, I intently listened while fidgeting with my waist-length curly, brown hair.
" hello fellow students," a female computerized voice greeted." We are happy to announce that you are free to commence your summer." It announced.
After lightly sighing, I restarted my voyage to the shower.
Summer was a convenient time for fun to the majority of Harvard students except for me. I often found myself bored during the summer. I had hydrophobia so I couldn't swim. I fancied books more than movies albeit I already read all the books worth ones time. Too young to drink so a ladies night was out of the question. I'm an introvert so I loathe any social activities. I'm definitely not your gal for sports. I like it better when it's cold outside. I never tan I only sunburn, so no sunbathing for me. Overall I'm not a fan of summer. Plus, I lot of awful things have happened to me in past summers.
After I bathed, washed my often complemented hair, shaved, and dried off, I searched for an outfit.
Eventually, I clothed myself in a shirt with the album cover of born to die on it that ended mid thigh, black leggings, red keds, a locket with a picture of my deceased adopted father, and a ring with a white rose on top. I threw my hair into a high ponytail with my black scrunchy. I did my makeup the way lorde wears hers.
After fixing a bowl of chocolate coco pebbles, my favorite cereal, I made a list of what I was going to do that day. It's cliche but making lists was a hobby of mine.
- go shopping
- go to Starbucks
- do photography
- go on a car ride
- go ice skating
- eat at panera bread
- do paper quilling
- make sushi for dinner
I would go to the skating rink first. While I readied myself, I listened to Brooklyn baby.( the video above)
