Danielle Benedicto comes from a highly respected family and is the unica hija. Because of this, people around her expect her to be a completely spoiled brat, just like the other girls with the same family background. But Danielle is not like everybody else. She’s dedicated her entire life to excelling in academics, extra-curriculars, and even stands as the co-founder and president of a charity organization dedicated for women diagnosed with cancer. Despite her soft heart for the needy, Danielle has rejected every suitor that has come her way, believing that romance is nothing but a big fat lie. She also chooses not to have a social life, aside from when she needs to expand her network—still looking out for her future career. The only friend she has is Thomas Torres.
Thomas Torres comes from a well-off family but they keep themselves on a low profile. He has seven younger sisters which explains his genuine concern for women. He may be Danielle’s best friend but the two of them are the complete opposites; she likes to study, he doesn’t; she likes to stay safe, he doesn’t; she doesn’t believe in love, it’s the only thing that keeps him going. Thomas is also a member of the DLSU Green Archers, making him an apple of almost every girl’s eye. Because of his naturally sweet and caring attitude towards the ladies, he’s often mistaken as a playboy or in layman’s term, “paasa.” Despite all the attention he’s getting, Thomas has stayed single since birth and has only fallen and remains in love with one woman.
Jeron Teng wasn’t always a black sheep. He only started pestering his father when his mother died of cancer four years ago. Adding up to his loss, he was also taken away from the girl who’s been his source of strength since he was young. The life he lived now is far from the Jeron that his family knew. He’s been kicked out of almost every university in London and no other university would accept him due to his dirty record. Despite all this, Jeron still didn’t seem to care. He already lost the people he lived for, what’s the point of living? This leaves his father with no choice but to send him back to the Philippines, hoping that it would bring the old Jeron back.
