Everything is cold. I don't know how long I've been out, but it was pitch black outside when I woke up.
As soon as I stood up I knew something was wrong. Everything in the house was gone. I sprinted up to my room. Nothing. It's all gone.
"No, no, no!" I sobbed. I ran into each room and they were all the same. I had been left behind. This is when I broke. I fell to my knees and screamed. My mother had left me here alone. She chose my shithead stepfather over me. I couldn't believe it! I stood up and walked into the backyard. There was one large rock out here with the initial "H" on it. It was my brothers grave. As I walked into the yard I noticed something new. There was another rock. I walked over to it and examined it. It was just a normal rock, except for one factor. On top very small the letter "V" was written on it. V, as in Violet. I stumbled back.
"No, this is a dirty prank." I said to no one in particular. "I cannot be dead!"

"But you are." Said someone behind me. I turned around, and saw the person I never thought I'd see again.

"Hunter?" I couldn't believe it there stood a 13 year old version of my little brother. I ran over to him and hugged him. "I've missed you so much!" I mumble inbetween tears.

"I've missed you too, Vivvy!" He says, giving me a toothy grin. "But I didn't really plan on seeing you again under these circumstances." That's when I remembered. I'm dead.

"Hunter?"

"Yes?"

"How long have I been out?" He frowns at this.

"About a year and a half." That long? I still couldn't believe that I wasn't going to have a future. Hunter seemed to notice how sad I had become. He stood up and smiled at me. "Follow me."

"Where are we going?" I ask, standing up and walking towards the house with him. He turns to me.

"You're going to meet the over residents of the house."
-------------------------------------------------------
My brother led me into the dim house. It was just like I remembered it, but with dusty, tarp covered furniture instead of the vibrant chairs and couches I was used to. I still couldn't believe that I was standing with my brother. It had been so long since I had seen his bright blue eyes and messy, mouse brown hair. I found it odd that he had grown in the afterlife.
"Here we are!"
