(N here, this is a new story that k and I are putting together hope you enjoy)

My nose picked up a deer down wind, and I swept as silently as a cat across the forest floor, using other sounds to mask my foot falls, it'd been months since I'd seen a deer, and I wasn't about to let this fresh kill slip through my fingers. My hazy green eyes showed me the temperatures of everything around me, just how I like it, makes me so much more of a deadly weapon, in this world, everything is deadly, you've just got to be one of the best to make it here, and so far, I haven't found anyone better.

The deer stepped into my view, and I froze, my breathing slowed as it's eyes met mine. I lashed out as quick as an adder, the two needles in my hand shot forward and imbedded themselves in the bucks neck, dropping it like a stone. I moved in, drawing my knife, and butchered it, sliding enough meat into my pack to last me a month or two, leaving the rest for the bear that had been following me for a while now.

"Sinead you lowered your vioce too soon, it unbalanced the song." My instructer scolded smacking me with a book he had on hand.

"I can only hold it so long!" I whined and he shook his head.

"Figure it out. It needs only to last two minutes." I frowned.

Well sorry, sure I can hold my breath for ten minutes- if I'm doing nothing! Singing empties your lungs you stupid mule. I frowned but said not a word.

"Again." He told me and I drew in a breath and started over.

Stupid mule of a man, why can I go play with Benj?! It not like I flirt. I'm actually working darn it. I flinched as his book slammed down on the desk and the note I was supposed to hold cut off.

"You messed up again!" He snarled and I narrowed my eyes. He paled and stuttered as Fina, my hawk, cocked it's head at him.

"I'm done with singing classes today, I have to practice other things to entrainment father's guests." I say and raising the leather glove on my wrist Fina and I left.

"I swear Fina, if you and Kal were by my side I'd have been beaten by that no good teacher." I muttered as Kal my over grown mutt, of which I had pick up on the street, greeted me with a cold nose to my elbow.

"Sinead your dance instructer wanted to see you." On of the servents told me as I passed the kitchen grabbing a loaf of bread as I went.

"Tell him I'll practice in the garden." I say peaking off a piece and offering it to Kal.

"As you may Lady." She bowed with a grin. I shook my head and wandered towards my room to get my shoes.

The weather wasn't all that clear so I hurried to enjoy as much of being outside as I could. Stupid mule of a father wouldn't have it if he knew I was going outside.

(N here)

I came to a massive wall, and skittered up the side, my hands and feet finding the unseen nooks, and crannies that were barely wide enough for my fingers. I kicked off the lip of the wall, and flipped over to it, landing in a massive garden. My shadow extended several feet in every direction, and I dashed toward the center of the compound.

A hawk swooped in, its talons extended, and its screech piercing the sky. I caught it before it got a chance to claw me, and whirled it around with a sick crack. I dropped it to the floor without a second thought, and strode through the garden.
