I get to homeroom and sit alone as everyone waits for the teacher to come in.I look around and see Clay sitting alone himself.He seemed mad because he was shaking his leg really fast.I walked over to him and stood in front of him.
"Why did you throw Josh into the lockers?"He looked up to me all confused.
"It was the fact that he couldn't keep his eyes off of you.Do you like him is that why you're mad?"
"No! it's not and what is wrong with you?" I looked around to see if any one was staring,but every one was minding their own business.
"You know what forget about it!"He opened his mouth to say more,but then Mr.Fox walked in.
"Every one take their seats for the morning announcements." I walked back to my seat not even looking back at Clay.I know he was jealous,but I've never seen him that jealous.Mr.fox started to talk I just blocked him off thinking of what to say to Clay.

I started to walk to my dorm I felt some one grab my wrist.I turned around to see Emily standing in front of me with a worried look.
"What's wrong did Josh do something?"
"No.....is Clay okay?I didn't mean to make him mad I left Josh and-"
"Wait you left Josh?" I cut her off.
"Yeah why?"
"Nothing it's just that he just so...well never mind. I'm sorry Clay got all mad."Emily went all silent.
"It's okay I'm going to Clay's practice.You wanna come?" I nod then we walked over to the gym.
We walked in to see the guys doing their laps.We walked over and sat on the bleachers.We just did our homework for the first part then talked for the rest.Emily left left before the practice because she needed to grab notes for her roommate.
Clay didn't even look at me even though he knew I was on the bleachers.I waited until 5:30 for his practice ended.
"Hey you were really good out there."I said handing him a bottle of water.
"Thanks" he said opening his water.
"Emily left Josh just so you wouldn't be mad at her."He almost chocked on his water.
"My little sister left Josh Peterson? The player?"
"Yeah just so you wouldn't be mad at her."
"I'm not mad her."
"Then who?"
"Josh of course."
"You sure about that one because you seem to be hiding something else."
"I'm not mad at you.It's just you didn't say anything about him staring at you."
" I did say something."
"Whatever it's getting late, I'm going to go" he says with a bit of bitterness.
He walks out of the gym, I quickly follow.
"What is with you?This morning you all sweet and kind,but now you're just acting like a douche."He clenched his jaw then turned around
"I'm all supportive and sweet with you because I know you like it.Now you're acting like I'm invisible.I always go to your practices if I have time or if I don't have any thing important to do,but you only come to my practice if there is some one to talk to.I stay by myself just to watch being you kicking ass on the court.Then now you're getting into fights acting really jealous.It's kind of hard having you be like this, this isn't how a boyfriend should act."
"You're breaking up with me!" He stared at me like I slapped him in the face.
"I didn't say that!"
"Well it sounds like you're infering it!"
"Clay you're acting ridiculous!"
"Really because if you want to leave go! I don't care!" He yells at me. I've never seen him this mad. It's kind of scary seeing this side of him.
I quickly walk away from him.I got to my dorm and slammed the door then locked it.I saw Alice,Nicki,and Olive were sitting on the small couch staring at me.
"Veronica what happened?" Olive asks as I sit next to her on the couch.
"I just-" I was cut of by a knocking at my door. I walk closer to it.
"Veronica can we please talk about this."Clay said in a soft voice. I take a deep breath just before opening the door. He stands there with a sad look. "I'm so-"
"Meet me at the near our lockers around 3:30."I cut him just before stepping back into the room .
I really didn't feel like talking to anyone after that.
*The Next Day*
I walked into school and every one kept staring at me and whispering to each other.Some one tapped me on the shoulder when I got to my locker.I turned around to see a guy Blondie, brown eyes and was about 6 feet tall.He was Bolton Jackson. Bolton is one of Clay's best friends.
"Hey Veronica"
"Hey Bolton long time no see!" I say to him closing my locker.
"Yeah I actually came here to talk to you about, you know who."
"Clay?"
"Yeah, he is really sorry and he misses you."
"I think you shouldn't be in this.It's better if you stay out of it."
He just nodded then walked away.I walked into homeroom to every one in their seat.Then I saw that Mr.Fox was at his desk still doing grading.
"Veronica please take your seat."I nodded then walked over to my desk.People kept staring at me especially Clay.I was annoyed about every one staring at me
"Mr.Fox,may I make an announcement?" I asked raising my hand.
"Yes you may." I stood up from my desk while everyone's eyes are on me.
"To every one that keeps staring, stop! The things you hear are just rumors so just stop! Not everything is true. So mind your own business!"Mr.Fox opened his mouth to say something,but then the bell rang I ran out of there as fast I could.
