Save Me ( chapter 1)

I groggily opened my eyes and was blinded by the ray's of sunlight streaming through my window. I glanced over at my alarm clock and it read 10:54am. I pushed the covers off me and stumbles to my closet. After three minutes of blankly staring at the wall I picked out a twenty one pilots black T-shirt and blue skinny jeans. After getting dressed I put my hair in a messy bun and slipped on my black high top covers. I grabbed my purse and walked out the door. This was my usual Saturday morning routine. I was walking to the cafe around the block to get breakfast.

After fifteen minutes of walking I opened the glass door of the cafe to find somebody sitting I'm my spot. He had white hair and was wearing all white clothes with no shoes, just socks. Weird, I thought to myself. Usually no one sits there but me. I wonder who he is. He had a strange childish aura to him that for some reason pulled me towards him. I decided to sit across from him considering he's in my seat. "Hello!" I said a bit to cheerfully. " Greetings, " he said in a quiet monotone voice. He was sitting with one leg on the booth and the other dangling off it. Man, this guy is so awkward. It's actually kinda cute. I blushed at my own thoughts and he looked up at me. " Is something the matter?" He said. " N-no," I said my blush getting slightly darker. He continued asking me questions. " what's your name?" I replied with my alias because I didn't know who he was or if I could trust him. " Kat, yours?" He replied with the same monotone voice. " It's Near. I see your using an alias at well. Why is that?" Should I tell him that I used to live at Whammy's house and that I used to know L? Surly he did to. He's using an alias. Should I tell him about my dream power? My thoughts where disturbed my him snapping his fingers in front of my face. " Sorry, I zoned out a little, I said. " You never answered my question Kat." " Oh sorry. It's because I used to go to Wammy's house," I replied nervously. He brought his hand up to his head and started twirling a piece of his snowy white hair. " I see, I did as well," he said after about twenty seconds of pondering to himself. " I'll be right back," he said as he stood up and walked over to the counter to get something to eat. The cafe was very buisy and the line extended to almost the back of the building. This should take a while. Many I'll just take a nap then. And with that, I rested my head on the cold table and drifted off the sleep.

I was standing in the back of an ally way. There was a man in black and a little girl. They where unaware of my presence. It was like I didn't exist to them. Suddenly the man in black wrapped his large hands around her neck, strangling her. Her eyes widened and she struggled to release his grip on her neck. I started screaming at the man to let her go, but neither of them reacted. The man finally released his grip on her. Her limp body hit the cement with a small thud. I just stood there petrified. The man in ran out of the ally way and climbed into a large black van, leaving the dead girls body in the ally way. I started screaming for help, but nobody came.

A monotone voice calmly saying "Kat, are you alright?" Awoke me from my nightmare. " Yeah, I'm okay. How long have I been sleeping?" I replied groggily. " approximately an hour and fifteen minutes, " he said with an small innocent smile. Awwwww! His smile is so adorable! Suddenly Nears phone started ringing and he pulled it out of his pocket. " Excuse me for a moment Kat," he mumbled as he walked outside. About five minutes later he walked in with an ever so slightly shocked look on his face. " Kat I'm terribly sorry but I have to leave immediately, a girl was murdered in the ally way on Oakley street." My eyes widened with fear. Oh no, not one of these future dreams again. I guess I have no choice but to tell him about my dream power now. What if the man in black kills someone else. "Wait Near!" I shouted hastily. " Can I come with you? I promise I can help.
