"Bye Mom! I'm leaving for the airport!" I yelled across the house.
"Okay Avery tell your brother I said hey and that I love him!"
"Yes ma'am!"
"Love you!"
"Love you too mom!"
I grabbed my keys and my duffel bag and walked to my car. I was flying out to Breaux Bridge to see my brother for spring break. He had moved out the previous year and I hadn't seen him since Christmas.

When I got to the airport, I put my earbuds in and turned on my Spotify playlist and text my brother and mom to let them know I was about to board my flight.

"AVERY!!!"
I look up in surprise and see my brother holding up a sign and a girl beside him who I had never seen before. I run over and my brother picks me up and spins me around. I bang my fists on his back, laughing so hard I can't breathe. "PUT ME DOWN TREVOR!"
He puts me down and laughs. "I just missed you so much Aves."
"Awe I missed you too Trevor."
Me and Trevor were really close growing up. He's 3 years and 5 months (to be exact) older than me and we're really protective of eachother.
"So who's this?" I ask, motioning to the tall, brunette with bright blue eyes.
"Oh um Avery, this is my girlfriend, Kendyl. Kendyl, this is my little sister Avery."
"Hi Kendyl nice to meet you!" I say as we shake hands.
"Hi.." Kendyl says shyly.
"Ahem. Okay then. Well y'all know eachother, Aves, Kendyl's from Greenwood."
"Greenwood, MS?"
"Yep. That's about an hour from where we lived."
"Yeah.."
