It was a cold night of winter, where it rained inconsolably and the sky was turning grayish and everything lived behind a gray veil. You could hear the raindrops that crashed in the opaque window as if they wanted to come in. Not everything in The Netherlands was that sad, not in the Belcott's. In this house lived a little girl called Josephine, who lived in Silk dresses and golden bows. In the whole house you could hear the movement of busy people, they were getting ready to go outside.
-Jo! Are you ready? They will be picking you up pretty soon! - said her mother who was getting ready for a wedding, while Jo, was getting ready to go to church. But this seremon was important, many missionaries and preachers were coming and were going to give their testimonies.
Yes! I'm almost ready! - answered Jo, impatient and in hurry. She was a young woman, she was only 10 years old but the was quite tall, Josephine, always tried to look the best as possible. She brushed her long black hair laying on her back. She was a very pretty girl, white as snow, and her eyes were as dark as the night sky and her lips had the color of a coral, soft reddish color.. and she had many freckles all over her face, but she looked beautiful. She tied her golden bow into a pony tail. So there she was, rushing down the stairs, ready and expecting good things to happen. Ann, her mother, saw her and smiled. He was proud of her little girl, she was a great student and daughter, she was very smart and pretty, and that pleased her. Few minutes later, the bell ringed. Mrs Smith had arrived to pick Jo up and to take her to Church. Mrs Smith was a very known woman everywere, she always looked for new people to meet. She was a very talkative woman and friendly, she had no enemies. She had a daughter, her name was Avery, of peculiar appearance and she was quite a serious girl, but you had to know her good to know her real attitudes. Jo knew her very well, she didn't liked to get involved with Averys problems because Avery was strict in the matter of judgment and she always liked to find any wrong situation in every person around her. Jo, being kind with every single creature that surrounded her, didnt cared about Averys bad education and she didn't liked to judge everybody. She was just sorry that Avery decided to be this kind of girl and hoped she changed someday.
Josephine was in hurry and she didn't liked to be waited. Ann brought her a warm, heavy coat for Jo, and for her health.
-Here, wear this. - Said mama grabbing the coat with her two hands in sign for Jo to wear it.
-No mom, Im not cold I don't need a coat. - Jo said.
-I wont let you go until to put this coat on, Jo, its cold outside, I don't want you to get a cold.
Josephine desperately in hurry, took the coat and wore it.
-Love you. - said mama taking Josephine and giving her a kiss in the forehead.
-Love you too. - she answered leaving the house.
-Hey!- Said Mrs Smith right when Jo got in the car.
-Hi - Jo answered with a warm smile.
-Getting prettier everyday hugh? - Said the woman.
-Thank you.
Many people considered Jo as a beautiful girl inside and out. They all liked her, but she wished somebody that would love her, she wished somebody to love.
Avery was also in the car, so they said hi and started their journey to Church.
-So how are you doing? - Ask Jo in a mild interest, she just asked to start a conversation.
-Well... Amelia Terrence, Julie Elane, Margarett Elane and I have been going to art classes, the one that Mrs Wilder commented last week remember?
Amelia, Julie and Margarett were Jo's friends they were all two years older than her.
-Oh, right, Art classes! Well, I wish I could be able to go, but I need to study on math. If I don't study for this half-year, I'd reprove all my exams and waste all my time and attention in.... art classes.
-Right.
It was getting darker and the moon turned more like Averys eyes, gray ans an oyster, her hair had a strange color, like brown and blond. Jo would peered out the window, facing the night sky, making the moonlight shine on her pail face. Avery admired her, inside her she felt jealous for her, something in Jo was so attractive and different and Avery had the dream to be like her.
Jo, just looked at the stars and wished to be one of them, wished to be set in the top, somewhere were everyone could look at her, and admire her beauty alone, without problems, preoccupations, just the simplicity of being one, one star, one individual of uncountable ones, wonderful and marvelous. She looked at the heavenly bodies that twinkled every time she did, they looked perfect at her eyes, she wanted to be part of that sky that took her without breath every night she stared at them. But she didn't realized, she didn't knew, that the stars, wanted to be like her..
-We're here..-anounced, Mrs Smith.
The girls got out of the car and entered in.. all their friends were there.. all from school. Jo loved to go. She loved the pastors words, so strong and healthy for her small soul. Jo, liked a guy at church, she liked Albert Blake, but this love was in vain. She didn't crazy LOVED him, she just liked him and he liked her. He looked at her as someone very attractive and talented and good, he didn't found any wrong thing in her life so he liked her. Albert, was a 12 year old guy, a few inches taller than Jo, green eyes, and his hair had the color of a field of dried wheat. Josephine admired him very much, he played the guitar, drums, piano, and any other instrument you can imagine. Jo only played the guitar, piano, and a little bit of violin. But this guy can't take much attention of this story.
The service started and everyone had to be in their seats. The preacher opened the service with a warm greening and a Hym. The rest of the service passed out quickly, numbers of people talked, testimonies of miracles, pastors, missionaries, etc. Jo couldn't pay much attention to the seremon, if she was sitting just behind Albert Blake!! "He's so handsome" thought Jo, she felt shocked of how much she was thinking about Albert Blake and totally lost of what the preachers were saying. She felt sorry for herself for such a distraction that would totally disconect her from the presence of God. She didn't wanted to get distracted and preferred to pay attention to the talk. But everything chanced, a minute later.
A man, older than forty was heading to the stage. Jo didn't knew him. He had think eyebrows and black thick hair. He talked and talked and talked, about his testimony and how God saved his life from dying of Cancer. He didn't lived there in the Netherlands, he lived in London,England. His Name was George Sothenverg. His words captured Jo's heart and inspired her in a marvelous way. Mr Sothenverg, when he spoke, he only looked at Jo. And smiled at her so kindly, it amazed Jo. Josephine felt affeccion for him and realized he was one of the most interesting men she knew. His talk ended with mentioning his family..
-My wife is a good woman in faith, my daughter Charlotte, she just graduated from high school, and my son Jack, lives an amazing life surrounded by good friends! I announce you brothers and sisters, that we will be all here soon! and me and my family will be part of this church!

Wouldn't it be amazing to get to know them?! wouldnt it mother?! I know it would. If their dad is this amazing, I have no doubt that his sons are amazing too! Ugh mother, why didn't you went to that stupid wedding? Mr Sothenverg is a very wonderful man and interesting, his voice flows like water and his heart beats at the rhythm of God's. Isn't that wonderful?
-Yes indeed child, sounds exti-
-And they're moving here!! To The Netherlands!! You will get to know them! I just do not know when..
Dramatic Jo, got deep in thought wondering day and night about that family, she felt she couldn't breathe until she got to know them.. there was something she needed from them, something to learn from them something.. She asked for the date of their arrival but no one knew, no one could answer Jo's question, that revolved around her head day and night. So she glanced at the window every day, waiting in peace, to finally see them.
