So the first thing you want to do is sketch it out, obviously... You can draw it freehand, or use a reference, like I do, just don't trace it! That's just stupid... Art theft is bad too...
But I use a Mars Lancaster 5H for hard details and 3H for slightly darker sketch marks!
For the lining, I use a HB pencil!
*Tip*
If you want to shade a solid black area, use an HB pencil, followed by a simple F pencil, that will make the area much darker and cleaner!For the lining, you should always use a sharp pencil, not too sharp, just in case if you misjudge a little. You can use a pencil sharpener, or a piece of really fine sand paper! They come in some art kits and that is what I use rather than having to sharpen it every three seconds!
