" Penelope, you don't have to do this!" The man yelled, unable to break free from his captors to stop her.

" I do, Pietro." Penelope closed her eyes.

Penelope sucked in a deep breath.

She then let gravity pull her off the building.

Bracing herself for the pain was pointless. She didn't think that she'd ever need know what to expect. And how would someone prepare themselves for death, anyway?

A cry was fading away as Penelope tumbled through the air.

Wait, no. She wasn't tumbling, or falling of any sorts.

For the first time, Penelope was flying.

A small smile made an appearance onto her features, which must have seemed mad to anyone currently watching the situation.

Penelope was wondering why it was taking so long for her to hit the ground, and meet her fate.

It was inescapable, her fate.

"It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then."
Penelope remembered her love for the old classic," Alice In Wonderland".

Oh, how her childhood had influenced her later life.

Penelope spread out her arms, as if she was a bird. A joyful, yet pained smile grew onto her face.

In the end, why couldn't she act like it was the beginning?

A new life waited for her, she hoped.

The ground eventually caught up to Penelope, and she was enveloped in a sea of darkness.
