*Six months later, Oakley POV*
My mom's hunter friends took me in, they tell me she betrayed them and she couldn't be trusted. Since I already had the werewolf gene in me from my dad they somehow made me age then turned me into a hybrid so I'm stuck in as 22 for the rest of my life.
I train every day to be just like them, they call me their secret weapon because they've never had a hybrid in their group before.
They have told me everyday that my mother doesn't care about me and how much of a disgrace she was. I constantly wonder if they killed her for her betrayal or if she is really dead at all.
They tell me I can't have emotions while I'm on a mission because emotions get you killed and that's what happened to my mother.
After I finish another training session I change into running clothes, black shorts, black shoes, and a black tank top.
I jog away from the safe house quickly making my way into the middle of the city.
I feel my stomach growl and look around at my options for food.
I see a Chipotle across the street and jog over before walking inside. I see two girls in front of me, one with almost black hair and the other has light brunette hair.
The light brunette turns slightly to talk to the other girl. She looks so familiar but I can't place it.
She has a jawline that could cut a diamond, deep hazel eyes, tan skin, and she smells like a wolf.
I tap her on the shoulder "Excuse me, I don't mean to bother you but uhm you look really familiar and I was wondering if I know you from somewhere."
Both of them turn to face me and she speaks up "I don't think so. I'm sorry." She smiles.
Holy shit her smile is huge.
"Oh well I'm sorry for wasting your time." I apologize.
"Are you here alone?" She asks.
I nod "Yeah I was just out for a jog and decided I was hungry."
"Well do you want to eat with us? You don't want to be that loner that sits in the corner alone." She chuckles.
I chuckle slightly "If it's no trouble then sure."
Soon enough all three of us are sitting at a table.
"I'm Tobin by the way and this is my girlfriend Caroline." The hazel eyed girl introduces herself.
"I'm Oakley."
I see Tobin freeze slightly but Caroline speaks up.
"It's nice to meet you, Oakley." She smiles politely.

After lunch we exchanged numbers and I made my way back to the safe house.
I scan my palm and I walk inside to see people training and turn to go to the sleeping quarters and go in my bunk space.
Small bed in the corner, a desk, a dresser and a tiny bathroom with a toilet and a shower barely big enough to turn around in.
I pull my tank top over my head revealing my toned and tan body.
I pick out cargo pants and a black shirt before walking into my bathroom and showering.
Once I'm out of the shower and dressed I brush through my long black hair.
"Oakley." I turn to look at one of my friends that's in my group.
"What's up?" I ask as I lace up my combat boots.
"Boss wants to talk to us about a mission." He informs me.
I nod "I'll be right there." I stand.
After he leaves I put my hair up in a bun before I sigh.
I'm honestly kind of getting tired of this. I'm a trained killer, I never get told why I kill these wolves I just do it with no questions asked. They could be completely innocent for all I know.
I make my way to my boss's office and walk in to see the rest of my team.
"Good, you're here." He says as I take my spot standing next to Ashley.
She's probably my best friend out of everyone here. No, she definitely is. Her hair is cut short and dyed blonde as apposed to her natural brunette hair. She's pretty small but you don't want to piss her off.
"You guys will be taking out this pack."
Pictures with names beneath them pop up.
"Study these pictures then make your game plan. We have tried multiple times to eliminate them before, they are smart and strong but I think you guys can do it. They have killed a few of us and are the reason for your mother's death, Oakley. Use that as motivation to eliminate them. You are dismissed." He states.
I read over the names as I study the faces and my face pales slightly when I see two familiar faces and read the names.
Tobin Heath and Caroline Doty.
I swallow hard before leaving to a meeting room.
After we make our game plan we get the weapons we need to complete this mission and conceal them under our clothing.
I take a deep breath before we head out and look up praying this goes smoothly.

They are out in the woods jogging, probably releasing some tension in their bodies considering a full moon is soon.
Ashley and I pull ourselves up into the trees as the group breaks up and we advance on them.
It's like I flip a switch in myself and all emotions I have go out the window.
My eyes change into a golden color while the veins under my eyes turn black and my sight sharpens.
I focus in on them as I glance at Ashley and she smirks and nods.
We drop out of the trees around the same time the rest of our team closes in and I grab the shortest one slamming her into a tree.
She has short brown hair and brown eyes that soon change to a bright golden color.
She growls and pushes me back as I take out two knives that are laced with wolfsbane.
I send her a smirk and she lunges at me. I side step her and stab the knife into her back where I know she won't be able to get up for awhile as I see light hair rush towards me but I spin us so I have her pinned to a tree.
"Sorry I have to do this Tobin." I say as I get ready to stab my second knife into her until I'm tackled to the ground.
I look up into piercing golden eyes. She has dark hair a lot like mine, same facial structure. We look a lot alike overall.
I see her eyes soften and they change into an icy blue.
I hear Tobin's voice about the same time the girl on top of me mumbles my name.
"Oakley?" She asks about the same time Tobin says,
"Alex?"
"Holy shit." I hear Caroline cut in.
Time seems to stand still as Alex and I never break our eye contact and Tobin looks at Alex in disbelief.
It all clicks inside me as flashbacks from when I was a baby hit me like a ton of bricks.
"Mom?" I ask as my eyes change back, one of them blue like hers and the other hazel.
