[ON HOLD] Bluzz: No Respawning (A first person shooter story)

Chapter 1 :-: Gameplay

Welcome to Bluzz.

A woman's voice echoed through his ears. He had logged in and found himself wearing a black padded jumpsuit as well as black boots. As he looked around he saw dark, tall buildings and a large cobble road. All around him there was shrubbery and tall, looming trees which tickled the back of his neck. The ground was hard but soggy, and the sky was pitch black with murky clouds blocking out the shimmering stars and glowing moon. He walked through the smoky air over to an aircraft that looked abandoned. As he got closer, he saw a skeleton wearing the same clothes as him with a letter attached to his belt. He took the letter and opened it.

Before he could see what was on the piece of paper, A bright light shone from the other end of the cobble road and a siren rang. He scrambled to his feet after crouching down next to the cockpit of the aircraft and slowly walked backwards whilst stuffing the letter in his back pocket. The white light shone brighter and brighter as it approached him. His shadow grew longer and darker as the light got closer and stronger.

A figure emerged from the light slowly. Following him and bringing the blinding light with it, the figure stopped and left the light as it walked forward. He looked up at the light with an arm in front of him and saw that the figure was a terrifying beast. The beast had two heads, one was more plump than the other, but both were slimy and a swamp green colour. It had two human-like legs and scaly arms with sharp fingernails. The creature also had a large green tail which had a big sharp spike on the end. It swooshed the tail at him and he rolled underneath it. He reached to his back and pulled a machine gun from his holster and began to shoot the beast in the chest. The tall beast shielded the bullets with the smooth side of the spike on the tip of its tail.

His bullets flew back and dodged them all apart from one which hit him in the leg. The injury wasn't too bad and it didn't stop him trying to kill the creature. He shot again but this time at the head with the silver eyes and which wasn't as plump at the other. A bullet hit one of its eyes and another went through its only ear. It roared in pain and closed its eyes, letting the head droop limp onto the creature's chest. The other head growled in anger and charged at him with claws out and teeth bared. He shot in its mouth as he ran backwards and the head spewed blood before it too, going limp onto the chest of the beast. It fell onto its back onto the floor and turned into a cloud, rising to the sky. It was dead.

Level Complete.

The woman's voice called through the world and a popup appeared in front of him.

Congratulations on getting past Level Mutant, Ground 3. Please make your way to the Stand to collect your reward.

The popup faded away and he started walking toward the tall building,  which looked like it would topple over at any moment. He passed the aircraft he was looking at and glanced at the dead pilot but didn't focus on him for more than a second. There was a small set of steps up to the Stand Building which he confidently walked up and pushed the double doors open with his shoulder as he was still carrying his gun in his hands. When he entered there was a mass amount of screens and lights which glared at him as he walked to the middle of the room where there was a table and something in a glass jar. As he got closer he saw it was a scroll.

As he put his gun back on his back and reached for the jar, the screens lit up and played a congratulating tune and the sound of cheers and applauding bounced off the walls. He quickly took the glass away from the scroll and took it in his gritty hands. When he took off the black ribbon, the scroll fell to his hips and on it was a variety of weapons. There were lots of knives and a large sword, as well as a good looking gun labeled ARK-7. He slowly let go of the scroll and it hovered in the air for a moment, letting off a couple of sparks, then disappeared and left the weapons on it lying on the floor. He smirked and took them, whilst leaving the Stand Building and closing the doors.
