Chapter 2: The Second Season

That summer passed and Twisties felt as good as ever. He hung out with his mates and Hace Grart and Cristine Chasis. He never once thought of Pelissa Mace, he was happy. But then, it was back to school. Memory after memory flooded back to him. Twisties was in another battle with himself. Sooner or later, he started talking to Pelissa again, through msn. He could never muster the courage to actually talk to her. But because he never could talk to her in person, Tatasha Nuroczi started flirting with Twisties. Twisties did not stop her because he didnt want to hurt her feelings, but never tried to flirt back. But in the end, Tatasha asked Twisties out, and he couldnt say no. So they went out, but after a week, Twisties couldnt take it anymore, and he told his mate Buck. Buck went straight to Tatasha and screamed at her. Telling her that Twisties never even liked her and that she should just fuck off. It hurt Tatasha's feelings, but she got over it. All was well. In the end, Twisties started talking to Pelissa in person. They flirted and flirted, but this time, there was no John. He had moved to another school. Finally Twisties got back together with Pelissa, and he thought she was all he ever wanted, but deep down, there was always a distrust, a disdain for her. Although she looked angelic to the world, she could be an evil and vengeful person. Her past worried him the most, secrets of indecent things that happened in primary school. Boasting of things that would be frowned upon by most people in society. He was very disturbed, but he liked her very much and couldn't let her go. But they fought countless times, sometimes not talking for over a week. But always making up in the end. They thought they were perfect for each other, but both did not trust the other and they could never actually be happy. They were happy for most of year 9, casually breaking it off, but always getting back together. At the end of year 9, a trip to Fun Fields was organized and Twisties was very excited to spend the day with Pelissa. But then he saw her flirting with Farlo Carreira. He truely hated this guy. Twisties ignored his girlfriend the whole day and did not talk to her at night either. The next day was awards day, where stupid awards are given to stupid people in the year level. Pelissa and Twisties were meant to recieve best couple award. But they were fighting at the time. When Twisties tried to talk to her, he didnt know what to say, he couldnt express his feelings. So Pelissa ran off, he followed her and saw her talking to the year level coordinator. But she broke down crying and ran away from him too. When twisties saw her face, it broke his heart. He couldnt stand it, and ran to her straight away and hugged her. He told her that he got jealous yesterday and was upset. But she assured him that she only loved him. He believed it. They recieved the award and everyone cheered when Twisties grabbed the award and started to walk off, but because of everyone egging him on for a kiss, he ran back and kissed her. The year ended and the summer holidays began, and all was well.

Then they made the transition into year 10. And Pelissa joined the musical production, while Twisties was nervous about it because another guy that liked Pelissa was in it too. But he wanted to trust her, so he tried not to care. One lunch Pelissa had a surprise meeting for her production, and Twisties didn't know. As Twisties was about to go look for Pelissa, Marah Sirabella came along with him. Marah Sirabella was Pelissa's best friend at the time. Twisties and Marah couldn't find her, so they went back to their group. As they approached, they find Pelissa there waiting for them. Pelissa has a questioning and accusing look about her. Twisties assures her that they were looking for her. Over the next few weeks, Twisties becomes closer and closer with Marah, to the point that they are always hanging out and walking to the station together after school. Although it may have seemed like something was going on, it was plainly because they would always insult each other but always help each other. Marah had boy troubles many times, and Twisties was there to support her. It finally reached a time when Pelissa and Twisties were not talking again, but this time was different. Twisties was being told many rumours about Pelissa and vica versa. They would constantly fight and Marah and Twisties would always bitch about Pelissa. Canielle and Dronwyne would always join the bitching sessions. Then after a while Jiriana joined Marah and Twisties and they became the three best friends. They would constantly sing that song many times over. After a while of fighting and never making up with Pelissa, Pelissa decided to tell her friends that she was going to dump Twisties. Because Pelissa's friends were actually Twistie'ss friends, he found out about it. And did not care when she dumped him, he was prepared for it. He actually laughed after it, because his friend Peter was at his locker right next to him at the time, and heard the whole speech he got. They found it hilarious. The weeks after the break up were filled with many fights and arguments between Marah, Jiriana and Pelissa. Twisties couldnt believe what was happening. In september, he went to Queensland for a special occasion. His cousin was getting married, and his whole family was going up. It was one of the best times of his life that he will never forget. Although throught the whole thing, he was messaging Marah, occasionally calling her. They were best friends. The day he got back from queensland, he went straight to the cricket nets to hand out with his mates. But the next day would change the whole year. Twisties was very bored on that day, and he asked a girl from his class, Eden,  to go to the movies with him. But as he was looking through a book store, he sees the girl run and starts talking to someone. As he walks out, he sees Marah with her friend Clare. Marah runs up to Twisties and hugs him for a very long time, telling him that she missed him. After a time of talking and telling them about queensland they decide to go to the movies. During the movie, Marah and Twisties are annoying eachother and they end up just resting against eachother. Just before the movie ends, they end up holding hands. Both of them are very nervous. As the credits start to roll, but before the lights turn on, they look at each other, not knowing what to do. Twisties quickly gives her a kiss, but on the cheek. After the movie Eden and Clare go to the toilets. Marah and Twisties are left alone. They hug, but then Marah panics and tells Twisties she cant do this to Pelissa. She runs into the toilet. After many conversations and sneaking around. Marah and Twisties begin to get very close. Pelissa eventually finds out. Although she confronts Twisties about it, she is completely fine, so she says. He eventually finds out that she is hurting very badly. Finally it comes to May 18th, Marah's birthday, she is having a party on a party bus, but amazingly unlucky, Twisties becomes very ill, and genuinly cannot make it to the party. Marah still becomes upset. He assures her that he seriously cannot make it. After the party, they still are seeing eachother, but have started to grow apart. The holidays come and go, and they dont see eachother once. When they get back to school, Marah has become a totally different person. She no longer talks to Twisties, and ignores him. He begins to think... What the fuck?... but he doesnt want to confront her and just leaves it. Over time, they both just forget about what they had and start to hang around other people. Twisties goes back to hanging out with his mates, and they always accept him with open arms. After Marah, Twisties many times over the next few months almost got back together with Pelissa, but through wise advising of Canielle, he did not. The year passed and he always hated seeing Pelissa's face. An annoyance in his life. But finally the summer holidays came and twisties had gotten the number of a girl who would soon change his life. But that would not be for a while.
