Hazyl's POV

Many people see moving into a fancy new house with a huge room and bathroom all to yourself is amazing, but I don't. I'm sixteen, I listen to music and I bitch to my friends about the people I hate. I personally do not want to have anything to do with this house.

My parents were on their way home from a business trip, My dad is... well was an artist for this magazine that was sold all over the states, I forget what it's called, he never really brings his work life into our house. So my mom tagged along as a little get away for the two of them, she does that every once in a while. They were on the way home from his business trip, and a semi driver lost control of the steering wheel and swerved into their lane, it went straight over their vehicle.

This was two months ago, I stayed with my mom's friend for the longest time, well two months to be exact, but now that the school year is over, I now am moving in with my aunt and uncle. They are fairly wealthy and they live in the upper/ richer area of my city , and I have to go live with them, twenty miles from my friends in my old neighborhood.

I drop the last set of boxes on the floor of my new room, it's huge. They already purchased a new bed for me, and they also had a dresser and matching nightstand. I open a door and peak inside to find that it's a walk in
closet. I barely have enough clothes to fit in a dresser so this is going to look empty.

I unpack my boxes to my liking and stumble down the stairs into the kitchen, where my aunt stands, making lunch. She passes me a plate with a sandwich on it.

"Come sit at the table with me, I'd like to get to know you  better." She requests.

I sit down across from her and take a bite of my sandwich.

"So who do you hang out with usually?" she questions.

"Umm... Well I'm not the person for big friend groups so it's usually just me and my friend Hayden, we've known each other since we were nine and we've been friends since. " I answer.

"Will you be having him over at all?" She asks.

"I don't know, I might as long as it's okay with you..." I respond.

"It's perfectly fine for you to have people over, but no funny business, I am in charge of you now and I don't want you sleeping around with any guys." She jokes at the end

"I'm not like that... I swear" I laugh it off.

"Now here are some ground rules. One, no smoking. Two, you must be home by 12:30. Three, no sleeping funny business with guys in this house, or at all, you know what I mean by funny business. That pretty much it." She states.

"Ok thanks!" I say. "could I possibly have Hayden over tonight? we always have movie nights on Saturdays. He's be spending the night as well?" I ask, hoping she's say yes.

"I guess, but remember, No funny business." She says. "you can use our movie room downstairs, there's a couch you guys can stay on, we don't need you upstairs keeping everyone awake."

"Thanks." I smile and head upstairs to grab my phone, and open Hayden and I's conversation.

Me: Hey my aunt said u could come over tonight for our movie...

Hayden: OOOOKKKKKKK I'L BRING MYSELF< AM I SLEEPING OVER??????????

Me: YESSSSSSSS

Hayden: OK, I'm so excited I already miss you and I just saw you yesterday.

Me: IIII KKKNNNOOOWWWW

Hayden: K bye

Me: BYEEEEEEEEE

I skip down the stairs and slide into the kitchen.

"Want to come to IKEA with me to get some more furniture for your room?" My aunt asks.

"Sure, let me get my debit card." I say as I'm about to run back upstairs.

"No, I can pay for it." She insists.

"I can." I reply.

"No I got it." She confirms.

"Oh Ok."

The ride is long and silent as we drive down this stretch of road. I look out the window and see all of the new houses, like the one I now live in. They're so big, my parents could never afford that, we didn't exactly have the most money in the world.

My aunt pulls into the large parking lot and turns into a decent spot. We get out and walk up to the entrance. My first idea is to look at the bedding, so we head to that section and I pick out a nice blank and white set. I am soon dragged to the curtain area where she suggest some nice curtains, but I chose some normal a normal grey pair. Lastly we look at chairs for my room, she points out a gorgeous teal one that I absolutely adore. I grab one of the boxes and place it in the cart. We sneak into an open till before the line fills up and my aunt pays for our selections.

We pull into the driveway and I drag my new items up to my room.

"We'll go shopping for some new clothes tomorrow." She states.

"Okay." I respond.

This is going to be an interesting year.
