"Michael! Sit down!" The women snapped as she placed a turkey sandwich on the table. He frowned and fixed the cape.

"Mommy do you believe in superheroes?" He asked taking small bites. The grumpy women just rolled her eyes.

"No Michael. There's no such thing." She said and threw silverware into the sink. She wasn't a believer for many reasons. Mostly because if there was such thing then why didn't 'superheroes' save her husband? Save Michael's dad?

"I wanna be a superhero." He said with a hopeful smile. She looked over and sighed softly and sat down next to him.

"Michael you can be a superhero. Be a superhero by figuring out who killed your father. That's how you'll be a superhero." He was confused but nodded.

"I wanna be fast like the flash mommy." She laughed as he held up the comic book.

"You will be faster than the flash Michael."

"I'm sorry I'm late." Michael apologized as he got to the crime scene.

"No you're not Michael, or you would be on time." Michael sighed at his strict boss. The man was out to get home. He hates Michael because Michael is the youngest member at the police department.

"Just go Michael." The other stern man said and Michael did as he was told and investigated the details of the scene.

"What do you have Michael?" Kyle asked and Michael looked around at surroundings and saw there was a a grocery store across the street.

Looking down he saw footprints in some type of dirt leading towards the grocery store. But it ends in front of a parking space.

"He was driving an SUV. He headed north. Seeing as we are in the middle of no where there's nothing but a farm and house that way. 60 miles from the house is a small town." The three men wrote the information down.

"Good job Mike." He smiled.

Michael left his job with a sigh and slowly walked to his old beat up car... Haha. Just kidding..

He walked all the way to his best friends job. His best friend work in Barnes and noble. So Michael spent most of his time there reading about science fiction.

It's nice because Ashton let's Michael use his employee discount. So sometimes he'll get free books and other times he'll get a discount. So yeah it's nice.

Walking into Barnes and noble he saw Ashton talking to a girl. Well her name is Bryana. She hates Michael. But that's because Michael doesn't like her.

"Ashton?" Michael asked and he looked over and saw his best friend.

"Mike! Hey!" Ashton said and then left Bryana and ran to the green haired boy. He smiled and hugged his best friend.

"Hey man how are you?" Ashton asked as they sat down.

"I'm doing okay. I just didn't want to go home yet. I'm still in the process of sorta moving but I still have to sleep there." Ashton frowned knowing why he didn't want to go home.

"Michael you're basically a cop, why don't you do anything about it?" Michaels mom is scared.

A few years ago Michaels mom came home with a guy named Steve. Michael knows his mom has been depressed since his dad died. His dad was murdered when he was 3, shot and killed. His mother was very negative but tried to be positive. When she brought home Steve, everything went downhill.

Steve has been abusive, but ever since
Michael has been working with the police.. he hasn't touched him. He just wishes he could stand up to Steve.

"Mom tells me to not say anything." Michael said with a defeated sigh.

"Dude you can be so badass, why don't you do it? Put his ass behind bars." Ashton said and Michael wished he could. He tells himself that he will.

"Ashton?!" A snappy high pitched voice appeared. Michael rolled his eyes at the blonde.

"I was just stopping in to say hi, Ash. You can get back to your girl." Michael muttered and left the table.

"Yes please leave. You interrupted our conversation." Bryana said and replaced him and sat across from Ashton.

"Oh trust me. I wouldn't wanna interrupt your conversation about how you want someone to paint your nails and do your hair again." Michael snapped back and then left.

He didn't wanna go home.

When getting to his home he decided whether he wanted to go threw the front door. Finally deciding that he is a man and shouldn't be afraid... He went threw the front door.

"I don't care, Karen! He needs to leave the house." Steve screamed and Michael sighed as he slid out of his shoes.

Ignoring the yelling in the kitchen he made his way up stairs to his room. He slammed the door shut. Looking around he saw that some of the glasses in the room was filled with different types of chemicals. Well he saw that some of them were knocked over.

Steve's kid must have been in his room again. He has a 14 year old kid named Troy. Troy hates Michael and loves to torment him. Immediately trying to clean up the mess, he scrubbed at the chemicals on the floor and sighed in defeat when seeing it was stained.

Suddenly the house shook and he fell face forward on the floor.

"Ow! What the f--" loud booms and bright flashes were flashing threw the room. He stared wide eyed at the window and he tried to stand up but was pushed back down by a strong force.

"Troy get to the basement!" Steve yelled and Michael ignored the hurt and tried to rush towards the door but Troy was standing there.

"Maybe I'll finally get your room." Troy said and smirked then closed the door and Michael faintly heard the lock. He started banging on the door and was screaming. The flashes got brighter and the thunder got louder and the house was shaking so much.

"Let me out Troy! Troy I swear to god if you don't let me out--" Michaels voice was cut off by the sound of his windows shattering. He started panicking and looked towards the small closet in the corner.

He started running towards the closet but all he saw was a really bright flash and his whole body flew into the case of chemicals and he remembers the chemicals getting all over him.

Then everything went black.
