Chapter 1

Today was just an ordinary day. I got up, had breakfast, got dressed, and ran straight out the door. It was a cold day but the sun was shining and it was crisp and cosy. While I was walking I caught up with Elise (my best friend). She ran out the door with her beautiful red locks hanging beside her. 'Friday at last!' She said excitedly ' I know right' I quickly answered back. Elise looked down at her watch and then began to run I laughed at her like she was stupid. 'Come on lazy bones were gonna be late' I quickly look at my watch 'crap'.

As we got to school I was puffing and panting like there was no tomorrow. Elise and I run down the hall to Mr.Watsons classroom. We slam open the door and every one is looking at us. 'Elise Burgundy and Samantha Jason, I am not surprised your late.' 'Sorry Mr. Watson' i say apologetically. He nods his head in a accepting way and tells us to sit.

At the end of the day i started walking home. I was kicking all the leaves on the ground and listening to the soft sound of winter afternoons with the cars in the distance. In this moment I felt like everything was perfect I got a b+ on my math, I had the most amazing friends, and my parents were probably at home making hot chocolate. 'This is the life' I whisper to myself.

I was about two metres away from home all I had to do was cross the road. While I was halfway across the road I hear a car speeding up infront of me I ran and tripped on the side walk and watched the car leave the street. 'O my God.' I said laughing to my self . I got up and walked the rest of the way to my house.

When I walked inside i called mum dad I am home. I walk into the living room and see my dad balling his eyes out on the couch. 'Dad what's wrong' 'your mum and sister there dead'.
