Invisible

☞Reader's POV ☜
Everything was dark.
My head was pounding, and my chest was tight, making it a struggle to breathe. My muscles felt weak and numb; I couldn't move my body. With much effort, I finally managed to open my eyes, blotches of light peeking through the darkness, everything was still just a big blur. Regaining the ability to move, I weakly propped myself up on my elbows. I strained my eyes to see, and like a camera going into focus, my surroundings became clear.
Brick walls that appeared to be part of buildings of some sort surrounded me on both sides and in front of me laid an opening to a street. The street was rather calm with just a few cars passing by now and then. I got up wobbly and walked out onto the sidewalk. It was a moonless night, but lights illuminated the roads just enough so you could see where you were going. The bitter night air was cold against my skin, but I felt no need for warmth.
Where was I?
I couldn't remember anything about myself. I couldn't remember, not how I got here or why I was there, but my mind worked perfectly, without flaw. I could remember basic information about the world and how everything functioned. Even so, I felt like a big part of me was missing. I searched the deepest corners of my mind and found nothing about my past. Not even a name.
I looked around the dimly lit street to see if I can ask anyone for help. There was a man that was just casually walking along.
"E-excuse me?" I called out. I marveled at the sound of my voice. It was small and shaky. It was as if it was the first time I've heard it before. I cleared my throat and tried again. "Um, sir?"
He didn't respond. Maybe he couldn't hear me.
"Hello?" I said a bit louder. "Could you tell me where I am?"
Still no response. The man didn't even look at me.
I raised my voice to the point where I was almost shouting. "Can you please help me?"
Once more he ignored me. Now I was getting irritated. I grabbed his shoulder to turn him around and make sure I have his attention. "Hey! I'm not-" My words got stuck in my throat when the shock came over me as I watched my hand pass through him. "Invisible?" The word came out shaky as I mumbled it in shock.
What the hell?
I made a futile attempt to get his attention once more, but every time I just passed through him like a ghost.
The word "ghost" lingered in my mind as I thought of the worst possible outcome. Was I a ghost? There was no way. I refused to accept that.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
A wave of relief came over me as I covered my chest with my hands and felt the beats of my heart, pounding fast out of fear.
I'm not dead. I'm not a ghost. I'm surely alive.
I'm just invisible.

Anyway, I made this Gon X reader because there aren't many of them out there. Also, Gon can be super cute.
I'm sorry if it's bad right now, but usually, it gets better over time.
Hope you enjoy!
Thanks for reading!

EN: So I finished editing the prolog. Not much changed here except some wording here and there. There was something else that I changed, but I want to see if any of the readers can spot the difference.
Sorry new readers you won't be able to know.
