"Adaline! Get your pathetic ass down here!" My father yells. I sigh, shakily walking down the stairs.
I am in the air, and falling to the ground from the blow me father sent me. Tears leak from my eyes as I get up, only to be pushed back down. "You're the reason she's gone!" He yells at me.
I flinch at his tone, hoping he doesn't hit me again. My prayers were answered as he walked out of the front door, slamming it on his way.
I walk back to my room, slowly getting into the shower. The hot water relaxed my muscles, letting all the stress out.
When I have to get out of the shower, i am disappointed. I walk out into my room, grabbing my undergarments and pick out a long sleeve crop top with a pair of ripped skinny jeans.
When I walk over to my vanity, I am horrified by the reflection. This girl had a large bruise on her cheek, turning a sickly shade of purple.
I apply foundation to the bruise, having to add another layer because the shade of the bruise over came the makeup.
I look over at my alarm clock, realizing I have to hurry to school. I grab my booking and run out of the door, deciding not to eat breakfast.
As I am running, I didn't think that my makeup would run off with the sweat. A car pulled up beside me, the driver rolling down their window.
