Do the hokey pokey

OnShadows collected us and we were sent outside our condo. I didn't remember much of what happened at the bay. All I remembered was that we were at the bay and we came back. Nothing of Serytune's castle or Zach and his men. But we did remember that we locked the Sharkeys in a closet. Kumail took care of that.

We went to a weekly campfire where all magicians meet. I on the other hand wasn't a sorceress, and my presence in their realm was supposed to be a secret from the Kapley. Instead of staying I went invisible.

We had dinner and attended the campfire. There were many people around. I roasted my invisible marshmallows. We talked, laughed, acted idiotic. We received a thousand stares whenever I was spoken to.

Nothing weird, especially not the hokey pokey of course. It was a traditional obligation on all those above the age of 18. Lucas, Austin, aleena, Sadie, Brie and I were saved.

Those above the age of 18 walked around the campfire, strictly being watched by the Kapley. Among which were kumail, Nathan, Tyler, Amanda, and Chelsea.

"You put your right hand in" they chorused, and went on. It was silly, and very very questionable. We talked about magical issues, the chain interference details.

"Legend has it the slayer of the uliptoss dragon is hope to our kind. " Sadie started

"Where do I come in?" I asked

"We believe u might need to sacrifice your life to become the chain."

"What noo" I said

"It's not that simple" Austin tried to calm me down

"I'm not killing myself just to make u happy. No, not gonna happen."

"Look, maybe there's another way."

"There better be" and on that note, I stormed off. I wanted to be a superhero, but not having to do this. I wanted to go home and act like a little 4 year old. That's the way I've been treated. 'No your not good enough ' from everyone, it drove me crazy, and now they're expecting too much from me.

I drifted off right away. I woke up after 10 minutes and went back to the hokey pokey festival. Shockingly the fire was red, the color of evil, as I was told. The hokey pokey was still going on, all sorcerers were armed. I was hauled behind Austin, visible now. "Evil spirits are invading." He explained. The fire lashed at where I was standing. It shielded me before some one could pull me away. It circled me. The hokey pokey sped up. I wasn't burning though it was harmless to me. The Kapley stared furiously, she was never a nice old lady. She was uptight, grumpy and strict. The fire cocooned me I saw nothing until I was tossed to the ground and the fire was back to normal.

When we thought the trouble over, a million ninja elf people jumped out the fire. Well, they were literally on fire. The Kapley yelled something and the fire collected the elves. I collapsed into someone's arms, Chelsea's I think.

The next thing I know I am on a table with an angry looking Kapley staring down at me, She had her makeup smeared all over her face. Mascara running everywhere.

'She had a hit to her ego' I felt Chelsea talk to me through the psi link, 'to your left' I looked to my left where Chelsea and Amanda were giving me guilty looks. Once Chelsea noticed me she shot me a slight wink.

"What is this all about?" The Kapley asked.

"I can explain." Amanda took a step forward. The Kapley turned and drew her attention away from me toward Amanda.

"No I can't." Amanda said breaking down because of the nervous atmosphere.

"Not notifying me of a new life source brought into our sanctuary. Hiding her. Worst of all, it's a mere mortal who is supposed to be the chain" the Kapley said walking away from me.

Austin secretly walked behind the Kapley, imitiating her. She went on about cheesy topics. honesty is the best policy, hypocrisy is not an option in any case.

Once, I got bored, Idecided to speak, 'It's a stupid idea' Nathan spoke to me through the psi link.

"But we never lied to u. we just kept it a..." I was cut short by stern looks and threatning stares.

The Kapley took a deep breath and walked out the wall without a glance or a single word. The minute the wall shifted back, we had a sigh of relief. Lauren was back. All the troublemakers were around. The room was completely brown.

Lauren pushed herself away from the wall," ok new plan."

"We aren't keeping her in the shadows, are u insane.?" Aleena asked

Lauren made a face," oh my lovely little mind reading buddy. Rumor has it personal space is a human right."

"We aren't exactly everyday humans are we?"

"Burn" I said under my breath

"What I was thinking was we keep her in the shadows without keeping her in the shadows." Lauren explained

"Ok umm hold that thought, what happened?" I interrupted

"You had a nervous breakdown. You were out a week, sorcerers are withering to dust everyday." Austin explained

"I don't usually have breakdowns." I replied

"They're a sign of power." Tyler said, " I learned that from sorcery 101, Nathan style."

"I thought u weren't a sorceress." Lucas said

"Neither did any of us" Amy added

"Ok now we're off topic. Ok so here's what I'm thinking ok Min, u will have a ton of exposure to every sorcerer" Lauren continued

"She already has that." Kumail added

"Every sorcerer has your name at the tip of their tongue." Sadie added

"As i was saying, Let's make it look like u have nothing to hide. A totally new u."

"Ok more exposure, that's alright. We are not changing her" Amy argued
