I was walking along at school to my homeroom class. My homeroom was English with Mrs. James and she was by far the best English teacher ever. She read and recommended books that were actually good books and are in our age group. Some other English teachers assign us to read some Shakespeare play or something written by Twain. Snooze fest!! Well then again, I love to read. I like reading fanfiction, realistic fiction, historical fiction, you name it. I I like anything but (it's okay if you shudder at this word) nonfiction. Non fiction is really about World War II to the Pearl Harbor to How to Clean A Boat. Just by the title, you can tell that this isn't something you want to read.
Anyway, I was looking for a book in the little library inside Mrs. James' classroom, when I stumbled upon a book in the back of all the others. It had plastic rap around it as if it was some sandwich from subway. It was sealed shut and I took it home. I opened carefully so I didn't rip any of the pages or the cover. When I unrapped the whole book, the cover read Colin Reed.

It was about 8:30 so I decided to read for about 30 minutes. I started the first chapter and it was amazing:
Chapter One
It was Colin Reeds first day of school and he was terrified. He moved from New York City to a country town so things were going to be different. Colin was already scared about his new house. "What if someone broke in and stole everything? What if a fire started?" These were the thoughts going through his head. He knew that the first day of school would be a good day- well, he was going to make it a good day.
So far so good. I looked up at clock to see that it was 10:47. Tomorrow I had school!! I could not get 6 hours of sleep again like the night before. And I needed to wake up at 5:30 AM. I placed the book down on my nightstand and went to bed, dreaming that night if what Colin Reed looked like, sounded like, practically falling in love with a fictional character, but then again this was my normal routine when reading a new book.
