Kenneth waved his hand, "Doesn't matter, we should have reached out as well. All that matters is now, and you're back in our lives" he was raging and internal battle to suppress the anger her felt over his daughter's rape.

"About eight months ago Adam was diagnosed with leukemia"

Stella looked at Adam, "are you okay?"

"Not me, our son." Adam corrected, "Adam needs a bone marrow transplant. I know it's a lot to ask"

Kenneth spoke up, "How do we get tested?"

"You'll do it?"Kim asked surprised.

"Of course, Princess. He's our grandson"

Adam stood up, "Thank you both so much"

Amanda smiled, "Are you sure?" Her sons loved their hair, both of them constantly checking it in the mirror and using endless amounts of product.

Cannon ran his hand through his hair, "Yea, I am" he told his mother as he sat in the chair, "Do it little cuz" he laughed as Adam started to run the buzzer over his head and his hair fell to the floor.

"What about you Cory?" Amanda asked her younger son.

Cory shrugged, obviously mulling it over, "Sure, why not"

Adam beamed as he shaved his cousin's head.

"We have pictures of the kids" Kim said as she pulled them from her purse, "here is Adam, it was taken after one of his football games, he loves sports" she ran her finger over her son's face before handing it to her parents.

"My goodness it's uncanny" Stella said, she rose from the couch "hold on a second" she disappeared, returning just as quick, a framed photo in her hand, "look at this, he's your double, just without all that  hair"

Stella saw Adam flinch, "I'm sorry that was insensitive" realizing that her grandson was probably bald, the chemo stealing his hair.

"No, it's fine" Adam told her, looking over Kim's shoulder at the picture of her as a child, "that's pretty wild, he looks just like you"

Kim handed another picture to them, "this is him now, it's hard to look at it. I just wanted you to see him before cancer took over his little body" a tear ran down her cheek, she remembered how upset little Adam had been when she took the picture. She couldn't help it though, she wanted to capture every moment, the fear of the unknown biting at her.

She felt Adam's hand on the small of her back, "and this little lady is Danielle, though don't call her that, she prefers Dani" she handed over the picture.

"She's beautiful" Kenneth remarked, "a heartbreaker you'll have to chase the boys when she get older"

Adam smiled, "I've already figured it out, guns and lots of them, and a chastity belt" he smiled, "though she's tough as nails just like her mom"

Dr.Miller was surprised to hear his phone ring, it was after ten at nightand he wasn't the on call doctor.

"Dr.Miller"

He felt his hear rate accelerate, "That's wonderful news, thank you so much"

Bob drove as the sun began to rise, adjusting the visor in a futile attempt to keep the harsh glare from his eyes, he reached into the console and slipped his sunglasses on.
