Badlands: Halsey

The echo of my feet hitting the side walk carried through the streets. The beanie on top of my head was falling off due to the strong winds. My hands crept up in my sweater creating sweater paws.  Quiet streets due to nobody coming down this way, at the end of the side walk stood a old record store. I loved coming here it was quiet its was vintage and it smelled like coffee. Nobody came in here cause they say this is where the "stoners" "hipsters" and "weirdos" go I guess I was part of that. Everyday I would come in here and look at the records dreaming off buying them, but never could. Today was the day that I could finally buy one.

The sound of a bell went off as I walked into the record store the scent automatically hitting me. Looking around I saw no one else besides this guy behind the contour he looked around my age. Walking through the rows of records I spotted the new sections it was full of bands and artist I loved like All Time Low, Pierce the Veil and more but one caught my eye. Badlands by Halsey I picked it up to see how much it was $21 it was a good price considering its a new album. I had exactly $25 and I was gonna buy this for my first vinyl. 

I walked up to the contour with the album in my hand the boy wasnt there so I rang the bell. He walked out of a room which I'm guessing is storage. "hi did you find everything alright" his soft deep voice said to me. Me being the shy person I am only nodded my head. He broke out into a grin "I'm guessing you don't speak much do you" he asked me. It caused a blush to rise on my cheeks as i shaked my head no. "Well thats to bad id love to here the voice that goes with that pretty face and your total is $22.50." the cashier said has he bag up my album in the cutest bag. I was full on blushing now "t-t-thank you." I shuttered while hand him the money. The boy had a huge smile on his face "such a pretty voice." handing back my change and the bag "have a good day beautiful." he said waving to me as I walked out the store.

I grabbed my black penny board and skated away excited to listen to my vinyl. I got to my house and ran to the door opening it and stepping inside saying hi to my brother and running up the stairs to my room. Shutting the door I took my vinyl out of the pocket and set it on my record player turning it on I set the needle slowly. Halsey filled my room with music, laying on my bed I closed my eyes falling asleep to the sound of hold me down playing. I had woken up to yelling opening up eyes seeing my brother staring at me angerly usually hes calm this is the first time I've seen him like this. "BITCH WAKE UP NOW AND START MAKING LUNCH BEFORE I SLAP YOU." my brother screamed. I was stunned this is the first time he's yelled at me. I stared at him in fear apparently he didn't like that he slapped me. clutching my stinging cheek tears poured out of me I ran down stairs fastly to make him food.

It's been a couple hours since my brother slapped me now he's sleeping on the couch I decided this is the perfect time to leave. I slipped on my black skinny jeans and my holey nirvana tee-shirt with my dark red flannel and my all black vans I grabbed my penny board and ran down the stairs. Opening the door quietly I ran out of the house.

All day I've been glares and rude comments I don't know why today is just strange. Putting on All Time Low I put my heads on and skate to the park keeping my head down not really paying attention the surroundings only to my thoughts. It seemed like forever to get to the park I didn't really know where I was until I was on the ground.

"WATCH WHERE YOUR GOING FREAK." I looked up and say a blonde boy my age yelling at me

"I-im-m so s-so-rr-y" i shuttered out

"shut it freak." the boy said kicking my side making me wince "that's what you deserve bitch." he said walking away leaving me on the ground in pain. Finally deciding to get up after five minutes I grabbed my penny board and went to go get food. Getting to this pizza parlour I was about to open the door when someone walked out running right into me getting pizza all over me. "God look at what you did dumb ass you better fucking pay for this." a man looking a couple years older than me said. "of course I'm sorry." I said guilty. "Shut up fat ass I don't want to hear your voice." he said throwing hurtful words at me. Walking in the parlour the man ordered and I handed the lady the money looking down. My hunger went away after the incident, this day just keeps getting worse.

My thoughts were getting to me and I couldn't stop thinking about my day and how bad it was. Skating my way a car drove passed me slowing down to next me I tried speeding up. The car rolled down its window and a boy my age called out "Hey pretty girl how about you get in and ill show you a good time." the guy said giving me a wink shaking my head I skated faster. He didn't take a no for an answer and got out of car and started chasing me. I got off my penny board and ran as fast as I can and decided to hide behind bushes so he wouldn't see me. The boy ran past me and I let out a sigh if relief.

Today has been crazy ever since I got back from the record store and played my vinyl and it's like the Title of the Album is actually coming true.. Badlands...weird...

Hi this is my new fanfiction Vinyl I hope you like the first Chapter I'm really excited for this story I already have some chapters planned out I hope you guys will like it.
