Kaya... Where could you be?

"So, what's your story, blondie? It's quite rare to find someone else who's able to speed up with me," the man said, smiling as he spoke. "I know I haven't met anyone able to do so before."
"Well, I, uh... My story is a little unique."
"Oh? Well, how strange could it be to a guy who slows time, hm?"
"Hah... I guess you're right there." I avoided continuing discussion on it. I felt the need to inquire more about his nature.
"So, why did you target those men?"
"They belong to a corrupt organization that kills for fun. And for business, too, I guess. That bus was a bonus target."
"I see."
We made our way back to the bus that was no longer scheduled to explode. It was so nostalgic... I guess it was way too obvious to the man that I was in quite a daze. He asked if I was alright. When I said I was, he asked about my sudden appearance again.
"The thing is... I remember being on this bus 5 years ago." I looked him straight in the eye. "I then vanished."
"Well, isn't that interesting."
"Mm, indeed. Do you perhaps, know of a place called Luxia?" What a stupid question. How would he know?
But he did not seem confused. "Luxia? Is that where you ended up?"
"Yes."
The man removed his hood and took off his shades. This revealed his messy black hair and his deep blue eyes. Damn, they were pretty. Back to the subject.
"Yeah, I know about Luxia, and those freaks who run it. Unfortunately for you, dear, I'm on their bad side."
"Are you?"
"Yeah, they hate my guts. But I don't really mind," he said, calm as ever. "After all, they are yet another enemy of mine."
The windows opened as soon as we were seated. Looks like we've returned to normal time...
"So, uh, why is it that I sped up along with you?"
"He'll if I know. In fact, that's precisely what I wanted to ask you. Too bad you seem to be just as clueless. But hey, it's alright." He had noticed my uneasiness as I looked at him in confusion.
"Yes, and for some reason I do not seem to remember any of my life in this world before I left..." The bus stopped, and the man headed out. I followed.
"You've got quite a case there."
"Mm." I sighed.
"So, even upon your return, nothing rings a bell? Still don't remember anything?"
"No. I do not even remember my name. As a result, in Luxia, I went by the name They gave me." I had barely notices we had walked far from civilization and into an open field. "Oh, that's right. You may call me Kaya." The man smiled yet again. It was quite comforting.
"Kaya? I'll call you that until you remember your real name. You can call me Viper."
"Alright."
"By the way, Kaya... For whatever reason I get the feeling that you have absolutely nowhere to go." Viper looked out into the green hills. "Why don't you come with me?"
"Oh, uh..."
"After all, I am your only lead," he laughed. I nodded in agreement.
"Yes, please, if it's not too much to ask of you..."
"Heh, don't you worry about that. It's my pleasure. If it was a big deal, I wouldn't have made the offer."
"Right. Thank you." I have terrible social skills, apparently.
"Hold on a sec." Viper checked his pockets, first in his jet black jacket, then his blue jeans, in which he found what he was looking for. He pulled out two square pieces of metal and activated a button on it, throwing it to his feet. The metal objects quickly attached themselves to his ankles, and the metal stretched out, covering his feet completely in a scarred design. Two blue lights shone from the backs of each metal boot, blinking a few times and then shining solidly.
Suddenly, Viper grabbed onto me and forced me against his chest.
"Hold onto me."
"Oh... Sure." I wrapped my arms around him in order to secure myself, and I felt his arm land behind me protectively. We took flight; the blue lights blasted aflame, and we shot up into the sky. Viper leaned his body forward, still holding me. We were headed past the hills, into even more green.
"Don't worry, blondie," he assured. "I won't let you fall. Just hold on real tight"
"Yeah... Okay."
I got lucky, didn't I... Finding someone like him to help me so soon after I returned to this world...
But why is it that even though I am finally home, I still cannot remember a thing? What will it take?
When will I remember myself?
