I was there with my best friends Kallie and Karla. The lake was hidden between two big willows. Beyond them on every side there were beautiful vines with small pedals. The scenery is incredible. Then you see the lake. The lake was shiny gray with small white pebbles at the edges. I didn't even remember how I got there. All I knew was that there in front of me was the lake I had been warned about for thirteen years.
"Its beautiful!" examined Kallie for the tenth time in five minutes.
"I know," replyed Karla
They both stood there waiting for me to respond, but no words could come out. I was amazed, shocked even. How could something this beautiful end up being dangerous. Even if it was beautiful, I did not want to disobey my mother's warnings. Yet, I was walking toward it. It was like an invisible rope was pulling me. The next thing I knew I was standing inches away from the enchanting water.
"What are you doing?!" exclaimed Karla.
Again no words would exit my mouth. Instead I took off my shoe and slowly lowered my toe into the water.
