I think have have a pretty average life but this day was a bit abnormal. When I woke up this morning I entered the day just as any other. My clock was at one year 4 days and 3 hours, on the dot, when I left my house. Today was the day I got to go to the movies with my best friend, mom rarely lets me out of the house from fear of my clock running out.

As I was walking to the movies with my friend I felt a sting, the sting you feel when your clock drops, see that it's dropped to 2 hours and 30 minutes. That would be about the time that the movie ended.

I sat anxiously through the movie, barely paying attention to what was going on, when I had the urge to move around. I told my friend I was using the restroom and decided to walk around the theatre a big, which was packed.

Weaving through the mass of people, I felt another sting. This time my clock went from 2 hours to 5 minutes. My heart pounded at the thought of being able to finally meet my soulmate. I went into a bit of a panic and had to sit down but my clock kept ticking down. Staying put was just giving me more anxiety but I figured it was the easiest thing to do, to wait. The clock on my wrist started counting down. '5....4......3......2......5 hours.'

'What?! What happened?!' My anxiety was bouncing off my walls as I ran out side the theatre. Making a sharp left, I start running, desperately trying to find my significant other when my clock goes up an hour. I figure I ran the wrong way so I sprint as fast as I can in the opposite direction. My clock drops from 6 hours to 6 minutes and my excitement can't be contained. As I'm running, my clock is dropping, minute by minute. 6...5....4....3.....2....1...2.

'Oh no! I passed him.' I searched the stores in the area and when I entered the very last store my clock immediately dropped to zero, blinking a green light.

"How may I help you?" A man walked up to me, apparently my soul mate. It was a bit awkward considering the fact that his clock didn't seem to have gone out but he was wearing a long sleeve shirt so I couldn't tell.

He was very handsome. Tall, slim, well built.

"I-I was just looking at that shirt in the window. D-do you have any larges?" I had to answer him at some point right?

"Of course. I'll check the back."

"Okey"
