I'm the new kid at a new school. The one that stands out. I only know like one girl named Ashtyn. The only way I recognize her is from the last 15 days of school last year. She was the only welcoming one. Anyways, it's my first day of my first year here.
Perfect time to start fresh.
The day is relaxing. My teacher is nice. That's an understatement... He's probably the best teacher I've ever had. We review multiplication first.
Ten times eight is eighty. Nine times seven is sixty three. Yeah, I know that stuff. Simple. I dose off, wondering if anyone in the class is cute.
I see one, no... two guys. Attractive. More than anyone else at least. I watch them for a few seconds. I guess just thinking but not really of anything in particular.
Then I hear a noise.
A familiar noise I haven't heard I a long time. A bell. Oh, that wonderful noise. I walk out of my classroom and join my bus line. My eyes are pinned on the two boys. One just walked over to the bus line right next to me. I glance over to the other one wondering if he goes home by bus or pick up. He walks towards me. Well, that answers my question I guess.
I stare intently at them, wondering if I should introduce myself. 'Ok fine, I will.' One of the boys looks at me with a short glance and smiles a small but adorable smile.
'Nope, never mind. Not gonna introduce myself.'
My bus comes, 601. Everybody charges for the unattractive steps up like a parade of elephants. I walk slowly, looking around.
The two boys were totally ahead and on the bus already. Ugh. One, two, no three people smashed into me as they speed toward the bus. My backpack is open, I take a grasp of them, shoving them in my bag, as I run to the bus.
My bus driver gives us a dirty look (as they all do) and I took an empty seat in the back. I notice that one of the two cute boys, was riding my bus. Oh, and also a really tall girl that looked familiar. Her eyes got wide and she waved and asks for me to sit next to her in the front. I lazily clumped against all of the seats and plop into the 3rd seat in the right.
"Hi! I'm pretty sure we both go to Mr. Fisher's class." "Yep" "Are you happy that you got him?" I asked. "Yeah. He is really awesome. All of the other teachers are pretty mean" "Really? Cool!"
Everything is awkwardly silent and I can't think of anything to say. She eventually got off, and then the cute guy did, and the other people I recognize from school. I'm left alone. The bus comes to a screechy stop and i thump off.
Gosh. So many directions.
I completely forget how to get home, so I just walk forward about two blocks and then saw my house in the distance, so I just follow it.
Steps.
More steps.
Farther.
One more step.
I made it. I open the door and my parents run over. "Oh my gosh! How was your first day?" "Great. I made some friends too. My teacher is SO nice. I face-plant into the couch and just sit trying to relax.
