Chapter 1

'We don't belong here, we don't belong!' My phone sang out I look at the time and close my eyes trying to go back to sleep until my brother Jason bursts into my room. "Jasmine! get up we're leaving in ten minutes to get to school if we don't hurry we'll be late!" He screams I'm glad our parents are out of town right now on a business trip because if they heard him right now they would swear it was the end of the world. "Ok! Ok! I'm up! I'm up! Get out so I can bet ready for school." I say yelling at him. "Ok I'll be downstairs waiting for you." He says and leaves my room shutting the door behind him. I walk over to my closet and grab a Nirvana shirt, some black skinny jeans and zebra print converses. I throw on my clothes and shoes and run a brush a few times thought my long wavy brown hair. I run downstairs and Jason sitting at the kitchen table. When he sees me he grabs his car keys and backpack while I grab my book bag. As soon as we have everything we're out the door on our way to Arch Highschool. When we get there I see my friend Kennith running in the school I get out of the car and run in the school and the three of us had got lucky the bell rang to dismiss breakfast. "That was close." I sigh in relief making Kenneth jump a little. 'He looks stressed out.I wonder what's wrong?' I walk to my locker and put away the stuff I don't need and head to my first period. Math. When I got to Mr.Grey's class I saw Kennith sitting at the desk beside mine. I took my seat next to him and just as I sat down the bell rung to start first. I saw one of my bullies walk in late and he got sent to the office for being late. I mentally thanked Mr.Grey. After he took attendance he handed out a pop quiz and said that we were only going to have this and then we're done for the day. I smiled and started my quiz. I finish before everyone else naturally , and stand to go hand in my quiz. Mr.Grey puts an 'A' on the quiz and I go sit down and start drawing a picture of a rose with petals falling from it blowing away in the wind. I look over to Kennith and catch him looking at me. I smile and turns away with a light pink blush dusted across my face.
