June 2012~
I am in Central Park with my 2 best friends, Spencer and Jackie. Spencer is tall, skinny, brown haired, and has hazel eyes. Spencer has known me less than Jackie has. Jackie is blond, blue-eyed, and not much taller than me. She's also pretty skinny. I'm the shortest out of the 3 of us. With that being said, it's pretty obvious that Jackie is the one I've known the longest. She and I have been friends since I was a little girl. I remember being in elementary school and she was new, I think it was first grade, when we met. She came up to a table I was sitting at alone and she sat with me. She was really quiet, she didn't talk much. She sat beside me and for the longest time, she didn't say anything. I almost forgot she was there. She was too busy being wowed by how good her peanut butter& jelly sandwich was.The first thing she said to me was,"I love you" First of all, when you meet someone new, they usually say hi first, not I love you.And two,I had just met her.I remember my first thought was.....Who is she?Why did she say that to me?She's weird. And by that last thought about her being weird,I was pretty right about. She is weird, but a good weird.
People had bullied her in second grade and I was there for her, protecting her. They made fun of how she always wore pigtails, making snorting sounds at her.I would just say,"You're just making a fool of yourself. Why not go to a barn while you're at it." Some even tried to pull her hair, let's just say they didn't get too far.We always had each other's backs though. She had mine and I had hers. She had mine when my parents divorced in fourth grade and I ran out of class crying when our teacher,Mrs. Smith told us it's parents night out.The teacher didn't really understand what was happening so she just continued on with class, but Jackie asked to be excused to leave. She found me minutes later in the cafeteria at our table where later I told her what happened. She hugged me for what seemed like eternity even before I even told her what was going on.Jackie was different,a good different.Jackie is a tomboy who is very comforting. She's tough and doesn't show much emotion. She bottles it up until it becomes too much for her and then she will cry,in private.
In fifth grade, the whole class got a writing assignment. Our assignment was to pick a spot around the school and say why you liked it.Me,not being creative, chose where I got picked up and dropped off by my mom because I always got to see her smile and say "have a great day, sweetie", and my mom would pick me up after school and say "how'd your day go?" Jackie picked table #7 in the cafeteria where we ate breakfast and lunch for the last 5 years. What she wrote was super sweet. It was something along the lines of:"On my first day here,I didn't know what to expect.Everyone scared me, but you have to push yourself to do things you don't want to do.So I pushed myself.I sat with a girl who later became my best friend. To this day I don't regret it.It was the best push of my life." Her reading that to the class made me tear up.While she read it,she was making eye contact with me.
In sixth grade,we met our new best friend,Spencer.Spencer had gone to a different elementary school.Through the next 3 years of middle school we always hung out on the field watching some kids play soccer.I joined in a few times, they'd stay back and cheer me on,not playing.Look how dispirited they were. When Jackie had exams to take at lunch,Spencer and I would gaze at the school's popular couple on the field. We'd fantasize about our love life's and do romantic quizzes.
Throughout middle school we acquired some friends--Dash,who later became gay,Wendy who ended up moving away,Josh who left our group,Shane who also moved away,Micah who also moved away, and Emma who I envied because her and Spencer started getting very close because they both had an interest for the theater.Spencer and I were in our school production of Grease together with Emma.
Spencer always was a gullible one though.Throughout our freshman year(this year),Dash and I always played pranks on Spencer. It was our way of having fun, some were kind of mean, but she always got a good laugh out of them. The sad thing with Spencer was that she and I never really got to hang out a whole lot outside of school and we had two classes together. She told me how she missed hanging out with me,a lot.It wasn't my fault, she was just always busy.It wasn't her fault either because she couldn't control it,but we found time to hang out.
Freshman year,we met our good friend,Madi.Madi is pretty cool, funny, and always smells good. She's all about looking cute with eyeliner.Throughout the day she will reapply perfume and lotion,so she always smells good. She loves doing messy buns. She has shoulder-length black hair.Madi invited all of our group over and we all went swimming in her pool and we all hung out in their tree house. All the girls stayed the night and slept in the tree house.Jackie and Madi have been friends for a while, but I didn't meet her until this year.I met her through Jackie.Madi and I had dance class together. It was a fun class,I liked it.We both want to take it again next year.Mrs.Korbas is pretty cool, she's the only dance teacher our school has,so we will most likely be in the same class since she only teaches one class period.
Today,June 14,2012--Jackie,Spencer,and I all gathered in Central Park to just hang out.Jackie, being herself, brought her skateboard. We sat on the park swings, not really swinging, more so talking. We all were laughing and smiling when the topic of me never skateboarding popped up."Wait, you never have!"Jackie almost screamed.Spencer had to cover her mouth before everyone heard her.I love Jackie, but she can be really loud at times."No I haven't.Now,shush, before the whole park hears you,"I whispered to her."Too late,"Spencer smiled, nervously. When I looked up,there was a gorgeous hunk standing there. He must have been easily 5'11" to 6' tall.
I was caught by his eyes--they were a beautiful shade of green. His short brown hair, was pushed up in a 2 inch mohawk hair style."Hi,I'm Jon Brooks.I couldn't help but over hear that one of you has never ridden a skateboard before.May I ask which one of you hasn't?"Jon asked. My friends, being so nice, pointed over to me."H-Hi,"I stammered."Well,hello.How would you like it if I offered to teach you how to ride.Would you like that?"he questioned, curiously. He turned his head to the side a little and winked at me,just for me to see.My friends were too busy checking out his body,at least Jackie was. "She would love that,"Spencer answered for me.
I gave her an angry look and she gave me a shrug."It could be fun.Go on,he's hot.You don't,and I do mean don't,want to miss this opportunity.Especially with him.I mean hello?Have you seen him? He's hot!Go for it!"Spencer whispered in my ear.
"What will it be,princess?"he asked me,turning his eyes fully on me before winking again. This time,my friends saw him do that.Good thing I was sitting, otherwise I would have fallen.Jackie pushed the skateboard across the tan bark towards him.He caught it with his foot."Come, come on.Come join me. Don't worry,I'll make sure you're safe.I'll have my arms around you the whole time if it makes you feel safer.I won't let you fall. What do ya say?"he questioned.I got up and uhm........................................
