The Door

After all the searching I have done in this vast mansion, I have finally found it.

The Door.

It looked like nothing unusual. It sat at the very end of an infinite corridor, one that seemed like it stretched on for miles. I ran towards it as it surged an unearthly power through me. I felt the energy passing through as I stood so close to it and the closer i got to it, the stranger I felt. Instantly after grabbing the handle-- BOOM.

The power within me quickly imploded, knocking me backwards with a force strong enough to knock me back all the way to the other end of the corridor.

I tried sprinting towards the corridor even quicker than last time, every step made with maximum power. Suddenly the corridor started to quickly twist, turn and distort, turning the simple hallway into a labyrinth filled with death traps and dead ends, not to mention many bottomless pits.

I pause in confusion. As i take my first step, my cheek was almost pierced by the spikes that suddenly sprung out of the wall to my right. Once they retracted, i felt free to move on again. The first leg of this new journey almost ended many times before my true mission even began; A flamethrower almost burnt me to a crisp; A Swinging saw blade almost cut me in half; My head was also *this* close to being exploded by a shotgun protruding through the wall.

With every flying dart, pit of spikes and laser wall i encountered i felt even more determined to find this door as well as the sadist who trapped me in this maze of murder, even if its the last thing i do.

I pause for a slight moment to catch my breath before i am almost beheaded by spinning blades.

The strip lights running along the ceiling of the hallway flickered, leaving the whole maze in darkness for a split second. The lights returned, this time stronger than the last. This
