If Solstice wasnt destined to meet someone else (hint hint) In the story, I would have her fall in love with tony. Who is in fact, quite the charmer. Alright mates, do the same old thing As the last chapters. Only for tony. I think I seriously like Sean O Donnell, Hes like one of those guys that you really like, but know you'll never have and that they will NEVER like you back or go on a psychotic google search to find pictures of them because you know Im an african american girl with crazy curly hair and dreams of india and denmark and England. Who could love someone like that right? I hate the human race. ...heh..heh...Ive said too much. I apologize for ranting:-P And to prove im sorry, I wanna try something new. In The comments, rant about something you hate, no matter what it is. Like i mean, rant rant. Until your rant becomes Illogical. Hee hee!
My examination went normally and quickly and before I knew it, I was back out in the waiting room. Vampire King wasn't there. but a few of his "friends" were. I sat across the room, with my back to the wall so that i could see everybody. There were less people here now, and I noticed how dark it had gotten since I went in for my exam. The doctor told me it'd be another hour before the paperwork was filed and my foster mother was called.
I took out my phone and skimmed through my text messages until my eyes landed on my mother's contact. "Mom..." i whispered. I clicked on her contact, and skimmed through the messages between her and I. Discussing dinner, me asking her for permission to go out, her asking me about a guy she met. I sighed to myself, the tears coming back again. I turned my phone off and shoved it into my backpack. No crying. Not here.
"Hiya." I looked up into two bright blue eyes of smiling guy, about my age. "I just broke somebody's wrist without hesitation and I am willing to do it again." I said sharply. The guy smiled and nodded. "Yeah, i saw. That was Marcus. He's a real jerk." He sat down next to me, and I went through the same process I did last time. I listened to the chair creak under his weight, stared at the floor, averted his eyes. "Tony." he said, sticking his hand out towards me. I shook it. "Solstice. But you can call me River." I mumbled He looked at me with curiosity. He had a comforting smile, almost welcoming, and it reached his eyes.
I looked away. "i've seen you before. In the papers. You scored a 790 on the local spelling bee test thingy that this place is so damn proud of." He said laughing to himself. "yeah, yeah I did. whats it got to do with anything?" I asked sharply. "Youre a little salty, aint ya ms river?" He said quietly, playing with his fingers. I tensed. "Dont call me Ms River. Actually, stop talking to me." I said. "Hey look, Im sorry. Didnt mean to offend you." he said, looking at me. "No really, Just stop talking to me." i spoke softly, trying to keep my temper down. Nerves were building up in the pit of my stomach.
"Ms Solstice Rivera?" a woman at the front desk called out. "Bye Tony." I mumbled. and got up gathering my stuff. "Here. Take this. If you need a friend Sol." he said. He called me Sol. As in short for Solstice. Only...Only Dace did that. I stared at him, and took the small yellow piece of paper. I opened it up and looked blankly at the numbers scrawled across it. "Thank you Tony." I said quietly. he nodded.
"Ms Solstice. Come on now hon." The woman spoke out again. I walked to the front desk, examining the woman that stood on the outside of it. "Hi, Im Ms Nercott. Youre new mother. It is very nice to meet you solstice." She said, smiling with a hatred I had never seen before. I groaned silently to myself, preparing my body and my mind for the hell this woman was going to give me.
I wonder who Dace is? JK I already know. :) Keep on reading the book to find out lovelies!
