Alex

Looking around school I've noticed quiet a few things. How some people prefer to stay in regular groups or others wandering about. I didn't have much but looking around everybody is smiling and laughing and knows each other.

Then there is me.

Not much to say but I'm more of the in between kind of gal. I'm not the smartest or prettiest or most athletic or popular. I'm just in the middle. Though I may have a best friend since forever he may not always be there.

"Watch it you pig!"

"Yeah you have glasses, use them!"

Ladies and gentlemen Sarah Brooks and her pack of cronies.

Though I would love to punch that trap of hers I prefer to stay to myself and not cause any trouble. So like every time I just walk away and ignore her. Calm down.

"Hey I am talking to you! Don't you dare walk away from me!" She screams.

Ignoring her I head over to my last period class and just sit there minding my own business. Grabbing my notebook I decide to sketch until the teacher shows up.

"Nice drawing you got there."

Someone said behind me. Ignoring them I just kept drawing. Though a cough interrupted my concentration I turned around slowly with a straight face coming to see it was Lucas.

Lucas was that guy everybody liked with his straight blond hair and light blue eyes. Not a day passed when he didn't smile. He probably stands a good 5'9 but he is pretty tall. He was smart and had looks girls usually would swoon for.

"Uhmmm I said nice drawing you got there." He said nervously.

"Thanks". I said monotone and getting back to my drawing.

Though right before he could say anything our teacher came in and he took his normal seat which was at the back on the other side of the room. Throughout the whole lesson I felt a pair of eyes burning on my back. Not caring I just kept my straight face and wrote my notes for the class. By the time the bell rang I packed my stuff quickly wanting to get out of here.

Heading to my locker I put my books away and was about to leave the school when someone blocked my path.

"Hey you were just in my last period class and noticed you weren't from around ..."

"I've known you since middle school, Lucas. I'm pretty sure I've lived here as long as you. Now excuse me but I have to head home." I interrupted him leaving him there.

Is he serious?

Heading to the parking lot I spotted my best friend since birth. Jason. He was tan with dark brown eyes and black straight hair. He was built but not that "I take steroids" built but enough to show he worked out. He had that intimidated look but he was a real softy to me.

"Hey Jase." I said greeting him with a kiss on his cheek.

No we aren't a thing but it's just the way I greet my family and Jason is kind of like family.

"Hey Al! Did Brooks do anything while I was out today?"

"Nothing I could handle" I responded though I knew he caught on.

"Al you should just punch her till she is black and blue. She annoys everyone and you would do us all a favor." He complains.

"You know I can but its a waste of my energy to do that to her and I don't want to get in trouble." I explain.
