While dreaming about old memories of Oregon, my 6:30am alarm woke me up. Today is the day, the first day of school at CrossWell High. I need to start accepting that and walk away from the past.
I quickly showered and got dressed. Since it was my first day, I decided to wear something not too showy, but something simple and decent. Black jeans, olive jacket, and black converse.
My parents were already dressed and finishing their breakfast when I came to the kitchen. "Ready for the first day of CrossWell High?" I answered back by smiling at both of them. I really liked my parents' excitement, especially at a time like this.
After breakfast, I had enough time to kill, so I texted Jae good morning.
Monday 7:34am
Elena: Good morning Jae! Just wanted to say wish me luck today @ CrossWell! Hope you have a lovely day and I miss you! Talk to you soon xx!
"Elena! Hurry we are leaving in five!"
As I rushed down to the front door, I started to get butterflies in my stomach. I didn't know what to expect today, or tomorrow, or the whole school year! I'm already stressed about school, and it's barely my first day!
