Magic: The contracts

Prologe

It was your typical sunny day in North Western Private Academy of Magic. Kids from as young as 6 are sent to school to learn to master their magical abilities and to find that their partner, for which will be their partner in life, fighting, and growing together. This is normal for them as they are expected to be the best of the best at North Western Academy, the top of the line when it comes to Magic research, you had to have good reputation, or come from a big family known for their magic to get accepted.

From 1st to 7th school years, students harness their physical abilities, train their minds to handle the pressure and the high amounts of magic they need to draw in order to cast spells, then as soon as they hit their 8th year they are given a month in school to find their partners, which will later on form a contract with, if they please.

These partnerships are to bring out the best in them, to work together to accomplish what their goals, and they are so well connected that they even go off to being married and bringing their family children that can grow even stronger, but this is only with a contract which is recommended before graduation, in fact it's a requirement for graduation.

The partnership is as follows, a Master Wizard or Witch which can be long range offense or mostly high level defense, while the Secondary Wizard or Witch is close quarter combat and quick in offense. The young students train with their partners every day to make sure that they are in sync, when they are old enough and are certain of their combination, they can form a contract which must not be broken.

Partnerships can be broken and created, in order to ensure that the compatibility is as perfect as can be, however, once a contract, this cannot be broken or else severe consequences are at hand.
