Toxade: you're beautiful

Toxikita stared at reflection in the mirror, frowning at what she saw.  She was getting ready to meet Shade in the park that afternoon, the two were much more friendly to each other after the tournament of elements and found out that they had a lot in common.  

The truth was, she secretly liked Shade, it was love now.  Tox didn't think Shade would love her back though, no one loved her, she was a monster. That's what she thought anyway. 

"Why do I even bother", she thought sadly. "He would never love a freak like me." 

She sighed and turned away from the mirror and looked down at her outfit. It wasn't like her normal outfit, she was wearing a green crop top with a toxic meltdown symbol, black shorts, spiked bracelets on her wrists, and black ankle boots. Why did she feel so self conscious?

She sighed and shook off the feeling. Tox grabbed her phone and her keys, walked out the front door of her house and and locked it. 

When Toxikita got to the park, she looked around for Shade. "Ugh,where is he?" She asked herself, still looking around 

"Right here." a voice said. Toxikita jumped and turned around, only face the master of shadow, Shade. She saw that Shade wasn't wearing his usual outfit either. He was wearing a black shirt with white long sleeves, black jeans, and black sneakers. 

"Oh no he's hot!" thought Tox.(A/N: lol spongebob reference)Shade smirked, "Sorry, did I scare you?" He asked teasingly. "Uh no." Tox  denied, "I wasn't scared at all, I knew you were behind me." Shade chuckled. "So, how've you been?" He asked as they began walking. "Pretty good." Tox replied. "After we defeated Chen and his Anacondrai wannabes, the rest of my life was pretty boring." "Same here." Shade agreed. 

They both went to a park bench by a pond and sat down. Tox smiled at the scenery then turned to Shade. She blushed as she looked at him. His shiny black hair, his beautiful violet eyes, flawless gray skin, he was just...perfect. Toxikita sighed sadly, no one that perfect would love a monster like her.

Shade heard her sad sigh and turned to her. "What's wrong? He asked, concerned. "Shade, I have something to tell you." Said Tox. 

"What is it?" 

Tox took a deep breath and said "I love you." Shade's eyes  widened when she said that, Toxikita continued "I-I loved you ever sence we met and when we didn't like each other." Her eyes started to fill up with tears. "I guess you don't like me back." She sniffed "I guess i'll just go."

She got up from the bench and started to walk away. Suddenly, she felt someone grab her wrist, she turned around and saw it was Shade. "Tox, don't go." He said. "I never said I didn't return your feelings." Tox turned around and Shade let go of her wrist. He then put both his hands on her shoulders. "I love you too, Tox." Said Shade. 

Toxikita gasped and looked down as tears streamed down her cheeks. "Why are you crying?" He asked. "Because you couldn't possibly love me!" Tox sobbed, "no one loves me!" "Who would love a freak like me?!" "A freak?" Shade asked in disbelief. "Who called you that?" 

"Everyone!" Toxikita exclaimed. "Everyone called me a freak my entire life." Tox started sobbing all over again. "Hey, don't cry." Shade soothed. He wiped away a stream of tears on her cheek with his thumb. "I don't think you're a freak, I think you're beautiful." Tox looked up at him again. "Really?" "Yes, from the day we met, I thought you were beautiful." Shade said. Tox was speechless.

Then, out of the blue...Shade kissed her, on the lips! Toxikita's  eyes went wide, but then kissed back. As their lips parted, Shade hugged Tox and whispered into her ear. "I love you, Toxikita. You are very, very beautiful, don't let anyone tell you other wise." Tox was touched by his words. She hugged back and whispered back," I love you too,Shade." 

A weight was lifted off her shoulders, she was finally with the person she loved, the one who made her feel beautiful.
