"Good night Princess Sazumi." Lord Glarid said. "Night Lord Glarid." I said and closed my eyes. He turned out the light and shut the door. As soon as the coast was clear, I got out of bed. I had on a white a shirt, blue skirt, white knee socks and black shoes.

I stood next to my night desk and grabbed my bag. I left a note and opened my window. I pulled out my blue fingerless gloves and jumped to the closest tree. I went onto the roof and stopped at the front of the of the castle.

I jumped down a tree and near the front gate. Once the guards weren't looking, I hopped the gate and ran off. 'Finally.' I thought. 'I am Princess Sazumi Gihana. Daughter of King Filious III. I am finally free after all these years.'

I was finally away from the castle and stopped. I caught my breath and started walking. It was peaceful and quiet. I headed further until I was at the train station. I hopped on a train and sat down.

It feels so weird being far away from the castle. I'm use to giant rooms and so much space. The trained moved swiftly. All you could hear was the clanging of the wheel and train tracks.

The train finally stopped and I hopped off. It was a big city. Bigger than I ever imagined. My bright blue eyes was filled with happiness. I felt the cool breeze blow through my short white hair.

I explored the city and found a lot of interesting things. People dressed differently, animals without collars, and people smiling, laughing or chatting with their friends. Everyone had a smile on their faces. As I looked around, I felt something on my leg and looked down. Kitty! "Hey little guy. Are you lost?" I asked and picked it up.

It meowed. "You don't have a collar. Are you an alley cat?" It meowed again. "I'll take care of you." I smiled and looked around. 'Now where will I live?' I thought. I went to an apartment building and looked up. It was really high up. I went inside and stood at the front desk.

"Excuse me. Is anyone here?" I asked. "Good afternoon. Sorry for the wait." A lady with red hair in a bun and black eyes. She looked like she was in her thirties. "Do you have any extra rooms?" I asked. "We have plenty of rooms." "Can I stay on one?"

"Sorry kid, you need an to be at least 16 years old to live by yourself." "Please, I don't have anywhere else to go." I begged. "Ok. I'll let you say on one condition." "Anything." "You have to work here on Saturdays and Sundays. 8:00 a.m. through 12:00 in the afternoon." "I accept." She gave the room keys and told me which room I'm staying in.

I ran to my room and opened the door. It had a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, a closet and a balcony. I gently put the kitty down and sat on the bed. I pet the kitten softly and went through my bag. "Here you go. Eat up." I gave the kitten some milk in a cup and put it on the floor.

I watched her carefully as she drunk the milk. I grabbed an extra pillow and blanket and put it on the floor. "There. Now you have something to sleep on." I said. Someone knocked on my door. "Who could that be?" I asked and went to open it. "Hello?" I opened the door.

"Oh um, sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you." A guy with blonde hair and sunset orange eyes apologized. "It's ok, I was about to go out anyway." I smiled and went back inside to grab my bag. I shut and locked the door and turned around. He was still standing there.

"Do you you need anything?" I asked getting his attention. "No. I'm fine." He said and ran off. I went downstairs and walked to a clothes store. I bought lots of shirts, dresses, skirts, and other stuff. Once the sun was setting, I headed back. Along the way, I picked up a few things for the kitten at my apartment.

I went inside and locked the door behind me. The kitten came to me when she heard me come in. "Hey little one, I gotcha something." I pet her head and pulled out a collar. I put it around her neck and picked her up. "Now, you have a place to live. Isn't that great!" She meowed and we played for a while.

Once we got tired, we went to bed. "Good night Akane." I whispered. That's what I named the kitten since her eyes were a deep red. I heard her purr as my eyes got heavy and I fell asleep.
