My name is Zoe Claire Larsen, and this may sound crazy, but I am no average teenage girl who is living like other 16-year-olds like me; why you might ask, because I am one of the few teenagers who has been chosen to help protect our country from threats, which means basically that I am a teenage agent. How did this happen? Well, let's go back when I turned 12, which was only a few days after when it changed my life, forever.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a warm summer night and all I could remember that night was a tall man was holding my hands together, probably to make sure that I don't escape. There were 6 other kids there, two of them were girls like me and the rest were boys, either a year or two older or younger than me; the other kids each had a tall, blocky man holding their hands together like the man was doing to me. Then, we saw a man in a fancy suit and tie with black pants and shoes to match. He walked in and looked at us all.
He, finally, said, "you don't know this yet but you 7 are going to be a big deal one day. The people are going to love you and thank you for doing such a great job of defending them from such threats."
I had to ask him something, "who are you and what do you want from us?"
"Both good questions", he said, "I am David James Barnes, the President of the Teenage Agency Program, TAP, for sort, and I have seen all of your work in martial arts and education. Now, I want you 7 to be teens who are chosen to help defend our country from great dangers and threats and other teens, like you." He paused for a good 30-seconds, then asked us, "So, whose in?"
There was silence, then a dark-skinned 15-year-old boy said, "I am sir, I'll join you." Soon, everyone was in, expect me. Everyone stared at me as I still tried to make up my mind. I finally gave in and told him that I would join. After that, we walked and got out gear and new clothes; then, we were told that training would start the next day. At first, I started out rough and got better every day after that.
Summer came to an end quickly and soon I and my team were doing small missions, like robberies. My team consisted of 2 other girls and 4 boys. The person I got along with best was Jenna Allen, who had long black haired with fair tone skin, like mine, and was my age, just a two weeks older than me. She was great at almost anything and I was really glad I was her friend. Another girl with lightly dark skin and was named Eden Young, was half a year older than me and was a 'kick-ass' kind of girl. She was always up for taking people down with a punch and a kick, just like that. Then, there were the boys, like the tech geek who always had a calculated game plan for us, named Brian McShwarts. Honestly, ever since the first day, I have seen a day without him wearing his cool looking geek glasses. There was also, Jerome Jones, who was a dark-skinned boy, who never left a mission day without his weapon, and he was pretty good at using too, also considering his dad was a policeman. And there always is that guy that tries to make everyone he knew laugh, well, our guy was known as Marcus Parker, who apparently a prankster and bad joker everywhere else in the world, and it wasn't that obvious. Then, there was our team captain, Alex Caveis, who honestly was a great team leader and was pretty cute too, in fact, I think I had a crush on him the first couple days. Yup, this was and is my team, still today, three 'short mission' years later.
But none of knew what was coming, what was lying ahead in our future. None of us knew; Until now.
