It was first day of school. Quinn was angrily stomping through the hallway ready to kick someone's ass. Not only did she have to wake up extra early but her best friend Jase couldn't come pick her up because of his new girlfriend.
She walked into her first class of the year, Science. Quinn wasn't your typical nerd, she was an A straight student, the first on the whole year throughout her life, but she was a sarcastic, fashion-lover with a love and interest in socializing and being friends with everyone. It was also claimed by almost everyone that she was the weirdest and craziest person known.
"Hello Ms. Tanners" she smiled at her favorite teacher who was sitting calmly by her desk with a lazy smile on her face which quickly lightened when she saw her favorite student stroll into class.
With a grin Quinn sat down happy that she wasn't late and had three minutes before class started. Quinn sat down wondering if like last year she would have Jase as a lab partner or if he didn't have the same schedule.
Finally the bell rang and she noticed that unfortunately she didn't have science with her best friend like last year. "Okay class, let's begin by me assigning you your lab partner" the teacher said not leaving any room for arguments.
"Okay, so those pairs will be together until the rest of the year, okay so Ky-" she was cut off when the door opened and a panting Jase walked in with an apologetic smile on his face. "I'm sorry Ms. Tanners" he said not bothering making up an excuse, the teacher let him sit and he sat down next to his best friend.
"Hello Kitty" he greeted her with a grin and she ignored him and waited for her name to be called. "Jase McCall and Xander Carters" Jase pouted when he realized he wasn't paired up with his childhood best friend but with one of the bad boys in school. Quinn and Xander got along really well when he sat next to her last year in maths and realized he and her were like twins.
"And finally Quinn Chandler and Jasper Reed" Quinn's eyes widen in shock and she knew that if she had water in her mouth now she would have chocked on it and died. She didn't want to argue with the teacher because she liked her a lot and didn't want to ruin the relationship they had, so with a sigh she gathered her things and made her way next to Jasper at the back of the class.
Jasper and Xander were best friends, actually Xander was Jasper's only friend from school. Quinn sat down and looked next to her to see that Jase had also sat down next to Xander and was glaring at him. Jase and Xander didn't like each other, simply because sometimes last year Xander sat with them at lunch and he got overprotective over his best friend.
"Hey Xandie" Quinn said waving at her friend with a grin earning a glare from Jase who was receiving the silent treatment from his childhood best friend for standing her up for his girlfriend. It hurt her deeply that he chose his girlfriend over her and his one week girlfriend.
"Hey Quinnz" he couldn't find her a nickname so he decided to add the clichéd z in the end of her name as a nickname. Her real name was actually Blake, but she didn't like to share it with people because they always mocked her for having a dude's name. So she decided to go by her middle name... Blake Quinn Chandler.
"How was your summer?" She asked him curiously, he gave her a grin. "Best, but too short man" he complained making her grin and nod in agreement.
"Okay class, those papers are going to be filled by the end of class, and it's graded so good luck" she said as she passed her students the papers. Quinn awkwardly stared at Jasper, "Hi Jasper" she said as she played with the hem of her grey top staring into his beautiful brown eyes.
"Let's get this done" he said not even bothering greeting her back. She sighed and pushed him away as he was about to start writing on the paper that teacher passed them. She quickly scribbled both their names and got the paper done in less than ten minutes before giving it to the teacher and sitting back down with an angry sigh.
She regretted ever finishing that paper. As she sat there quietly watching everyone completing their papers she couldn't help but think, think about everything that she had went through, everything that she couldn't share with anyone, anyone and everyone even Jase.
She was awoken from her daydream and flashbacks from a nudge next to her. She looked at Jasper who looked concerned, "are you - are you crying?" He asked her worriedly. She hasn't noticed she was crying until he told her. She quickly wiped away her tears and shook her head with a stifle.
She never cried in front of anyone expect her best friend, but only exceptional times, and he never knew the real reason, never. At times she got this guilty feeling, and the need to tell someone and be comforted but she had this fear that he would judge her that he would think of her differently... She acted all tough and strong but really deep down she was broken and needed someone to help her.
She wasn't scared that he'd judge her for what she's done, considering she knew she didn't do anything but she was scared that he would judge her for her choices. She was scared of losing him... She knew she was selfish for being afraid of losing him but what's a human without doing mistakes?
"Class Dismissed" says the teacher, as soon as those words left her mouth Quinn stuffed her things in her bag and walked out of class hoping to avoid any confrontations with Jase or Jasper. She was extremely angry at her best friend because he stood her up and decided to drive his one week girlfriend to school and let his best friend find a way to go to their first day of school all by herself. But she didnt want to face Jasper who seemed very curious and ready to ask her a million and one questions, so she did the best thing that could be done in such a situation she ran.
she walked into her next and favorite class: Maths, hoping that maybe she wouldnt have neither of the boys in her class, but off course she had both in her class, and they both sat by her side, one on her left and the other on her right.

It was finally lunch and the poor girl had been ambushed by both boys in maths but at the end Jasper and Jase started arguing and she did not confront any of them. But then she had history with Jasper and off course he asked her so many questions but then she told him it was private and she was not obliged to answer any of his questions.
"Quinn" she heard a male voice call for her as she decided to go eat outside by a tree where no one would see her. She spun around and faked a smile as she noticed Xander grinning cheekily at her, "wanna join me and eat lunch at our table" he asked her knowing that she and her best friend were not actually talking. She gave him a sincere smile and said, "I would love to but i am going to eat outside" she explained hoping i would not disappoint him.
"great I'll join you" he said cheerfully and walked with her outside of school joking and actually making her laugh. She showed him the spot where she sits when Jase skipped school or when she wanted to be alone, and well when she's fighting with her best friend. She sat down and Xander plopped down next to her. "I have two Nutella sandwiches and a can of coke" he said handing her one of his sandwiches, "i have two turkey and a can of Iced Tea" she said handing him one of his sandwiches and they started eating while they talking animatedly.
"can I trust you with something?" Xander asked Quinn who nodded and her eyes only showed him sincerity and care.
"I was adopted when i was three, by Jessica and Amanda a lesbian couple, we lived in Miami and then we had to move because when my best friend found out he told everyone and i was bullied and assaulted until I got seriously hurt and had to move here" he sighed in relief as if he had finally taken off his chest and stared at Quinn with so much fear.
"Heartless pigs I would totally kill the dude when i see him" Quinn said angrily surprising Xander for two reasons, 1) he would have never thought that she would take his side, or not pity him 2) he did not know that she had it in her, anger. "I want to meet your moms" she excitedly clapped her hands and smiling wildly at a very excited and happy Xander.
"sure after classes I will meet you right in front of this tree" he says excitedly as he helps her up and they walk together to PE.
